I know right? I messed up and used Head and Shoulders after going 5+ months no shampoo and now I have dandruff after just one use.

Give your hair 7-10days to adjust and it'll be fine. My hair freaked out for a week then settled.

I have greasy hair too, have to shampoo or I look like I rubbed olive oil in my hair.

And until I see pics of someone with long hair (go ahead and black out face) I remain skeptical. My hair is too long to go without being cleaned.

You need to give it 3 weeks. Your scalp starts producing excess amounts of oils because it's use to the shampoo. Been on no shampoo since January and my hair is only oily after sleeping, which is how it always was. A good shower and scrub and it's looking fresh

Your hair will get super greasy for a few days, even up to a week when you start no poo. Once you get through those days and your scalp evens out its wax production you're on that glorious hair level.

OP I like no shampoo but how do u make ur hair smell great? I know it doesn't smell bad really if you wash it with water every day, but I want it to smell heavenly no homo.

I use a tiny bit of American Crew fiber every day. Smells great and easy to wash out

don't confuse no shampoo with "not washing your hair" or "i didn't use shampoo for a few days/week and i got greasy hair"

it isn't some over night thing... you don't just stop using shampoo and your hair is flawless and amazing the next week.... and you don't NOT wash you fukking hair...you still wash it and scrub... just without shampoo

Can confirm. Month 3 and I get complimented on my hair at least once a day and I don't even have a great hairstyle. But I'm also mixed and have curly/wavy long hair so... I was born with that hair but lost it and it started becoming straight, my natural curly hair came back after no shampoo srs.

That's normal, you have to be willing to have greasy ****ty hair for a week or so until your body balances it out. Wear a hat.
