Yup. I´m from Spain and I live in Madrid. I can give some tips if any of you guys plan on traveling here. Spain is cool, what can I say. If you are looking for party ("fiesta") you can find lots of it nearly on every city. Let´s take a look.

FIESTAS DE SAN FERMIN
Basque Country (North of Spain) 7 July (whole week).

Worldwide famous. 7 days of alcohol, fiesta, neverending nights and people basically going crazy. Also they have the famous "encierros" where you can run in front of giant bulls if you have what it takes.


LA FERIA DE ABRIL
Seville (South of Spain) 6-11 May 2014

A party like no other in the world. Flamenco, "sevillanas", where you can enjoy what they call "embrujo andaluz". The Feria de Abril is a reference in the world of dance, culture and way of living.


LAS FALLAS
Valencia (east coast of Spain) 15-19 March 2014

Another unique fiesta. Here, the famous "ninots" (giant figures) get burned to ashes at night, giving the visitor a WTF sensation like no other lol. Again, 5 days and nights of fiesta.

IBIZA AT SUMMER
Whole summer.


Expensive as ****, but here´s a great place if you like to club, party, go to the beach and, if lucky, pull some "pornstar" lookalike bimbos. Not really my cup of tea, as I´m not into that lifestyle, but hey

Well, there are hundreds of places to visit. I only posted some big Fiestas that I think may be interesting to you guys on the States. I don´t know if you will find this useful. If you want, I can post more and more related content about my country, not only FIESTA, but culture, food, museums, restaurants, and also about Madrid, my city. Ibiza seems absolutely nuts. I can hardly fathom the number of 10's that are walking around on that island. My angus is probably not peppered.

I have never been to a bigger party in my life. We went to Ibiza right after we ran with the bulls and it made Ibiza seem quite.

Obviously Ibiza was still crazy and fun but Sanf Fermin was the craziest festival I've ever been to.

People literally did not stop partying at any hour of the day.

The bull run was the scariest thing I've ever done in my life.

Dat feel when you think you might get hurt or die. Without a doubt the most fun I've ever had. It's impossible to ever ever ever regret doing that part of my trip.

I wish I didnt spend too much time in Madrid. It was just another big city. Very overrated.

Barcelona is easily my favourite city in the world. There's so much going on during the summer. Hot girls, beach, and an unmatched night life.

Is 2 nights in Ibiza enough? I'm very interested in the music/club scene there. Also keen to check out other cool things in Ibiza..if there are any.

So far thats what I've got planned.. to stay there for 2 nights. I also be staying in Barcelona for 2 nights... depending on how tight my schedule is towards then end of the trip it might only be 1 night

For me personally 2 nights in Ibiza is enough. But if you're big on the whole electronic music stuff and like taking E then definitely stay a bit longer. Also things weren't as expensive as I thought it would be but that's because we were staying in San Antoni.

Ibiza town is where all the big clubs are and also the nicer part of the island.

San Antoni is filled with A LOT of Brits on vacation. British girls with a ton of makeup.

I spent 5 days in Barcelona but wish I spent more time there. If you're staying in one of their party hostels (they're a ton of them) then you'll definitely have a good time.

The beach is also very nice with some really good looking topless women.

If you do anything, go to El Encierro (The Running of the Bulls) in Pamplona, or La Tomatina. Scariest **** I've ever done.

Chances are, I'm not traveling this year but I spent a few years doing it. If anyone has questions about the following places, feel free to ask.

This year I want to go to iOS, Portugal, maybe somewhere in Spain or France. Possibly Munich, krakow, Bucharest, Ukraine. Maybe Croatia and Belgrade. I might be going alone this time not sure. It's hard to get friends to travel for long stretches of time. Would actually be cool to setup a misc trip if anyone has any interest

Made this thread for people who are planning to go to Europe next year. We can share some advice and details of where we plan on going/what to see/where to go etc.

Going over with family for ~5 weeks then staying after they leave to travel and, if possible, even work for a bit.



Here is the rough (family) plan;

- That side trip there [Milan to Vicenza (not Venice)] is for a day or two to see where my family originated from
- Krakow only to see Auschwitz for a day

That's kind of a strange route, imo...

Much better cities to visit than Krakow. Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Lucerne or Interlaken, Munich...would choose any of those before Krakow.

I'd also strongly suggest spending one day in Venice, since you're already going to Vicenza.

Also, too many people skip Spain when travelling Europe. Barcelona is my favorite city to visit in the Summer. F*ckin' love that place. I've never seen so many beautiful women in one city.

If you can manage waking up early enough to do all the sightseeing go see the major sites like Park Guell, Sagrada Famillia, Olympic Park, Magic fountain, Beach etc.

ill be in barcelona 02/06/14 till 07/06/14 (solo travel)
i was thinking of taking a few small day tours where i could see things like the main attractions, and things like FC Barcelona Football Stadium, also a scooter tour around the city, helicopter ride around the city etc
I havnt done much solo travel so not sure what to expect, should i just go in open minded and do things on the spot as opposed to planning them (will be staying in hostels). Ive heard that the hostels usually have walking tours in the mornings and what not. Can anyone shed some light?

as this is my first trip i decided to take a proper travel group as well after Barcelona.
i will be going to the following:
amsterdam
berlin
prague
munich
venice
rome
florence
swiss alps
paris

after the tour i will be heading to istanbul for a few days (solo travel)

Bump, Sounds like right now Im going to Madrid/Berlin, Munich, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Talinn, and then Morocco . Then ill come back to the states and go back to Europe for another month starting in Early July. I think im definitely going to go to that festival in San Fermin if I can. Gotta get a list of other places to go. I might go back to Barcelona it was so good last summer. Anyone been to Talinn/ Saint Petersburg or Moscow? Any recommendations ?
