Destiny Knot - IV Transfer
Another new feature is the furthering of IV transfer. Previously, when the parent Pokémon had power items attached, it guaranteed the transfer of one of the IVs, while several IVs were guaranteed to pass down. However, as of X & Y, if you have one of the parents hold the Destiny Knot item, then 5 IVs total from either parent will be guaranteed to be transferred

brb breed 3IV x with a perfect ditto which already has 2 perfect IV's until you get 5IV
5IVeverstone x 3IVpoweritem with last stat point you need then bam you get 6IV MASTER RACE!

there should be a way to reset all trainers and gym leaders so you can go back through the game with a different team.

Yeah, I think they really dropped the ball on that, especially since we've had it in past generations. Same goes for the Elite 4 not levelling up on second battle. There are a few features like that, that should never have been removed. There should be more endgame content like Battle Frontiers and cities that you can visit too, rather than a restaurant, a safari zone and a building.

Improved breeding and trading is making teambuilding infinitely more interesting and fun. I'm almost as enthusiastic about it as I was in GSC.

yeah people like me aren't really that into the breeding/online battling thing i like playing through the story with different pokes.

Yeah, it's been the same here for the last few gens. Don't know why I'm getting back into it now, I don't even battle online, nor do I plan on doing so. I think a good part of it is the simultaneous release meaning that there's [relatively] a lot of mystery instead of hearing about things leak out of Japan for a good 6 months before it gets released over here.

I'm hoping, with the ability to patch games, that they release more content down the line, which is entirely possible with the 3DS and SD cards (free, because there's no way the millions of children who do play would buy it). There's a huge gap below Santaline and Camphrier towns that needs filling up.

I want to get that Pokédex filled for once too.

Edit: I think another thing is that GameFreak are trying and encourage older fans who haven't played in years to start playing again by toning down a lot of the features they've introduced over the last few generations, going for simpler Pokémon designs, having a high Kanto Pokémon presence around Kalos and things like that. In terms of content, it seems much more similar to RBY in terms of general feel and content, as opposed to RSE, DPPt or BW(2) which had much more endgame content and story.

Just looking into PGC, all I can see is things like Battle Chateau, Maison and Institute. Looking for the rest of the Mega stones and some side quests for Looker, if you are aware of him from Gen IV and V.

the one with more perfect iv stats obviously, then get the other to hold a power item for a stat the other one doesnt have, don't worry about the nature until the end. atm im breeding my 3 stat gengar in sp.atk/sp.def/speed with a 2stat ditto in def/hp until i either get a 4 stat to come out or a 5 straight of the bat.

the one with 3 perfect ivs is superior, but the one with 2 is outstanding so i guess ill make the one with 3 hold it

I am using the 6 starters as my starting 6 rotation.. gimping my team but its ok.. now if only my charmeleon would evolve like blastoise and venusaur did 3 levels ago

you can still use them brah, you can use both destiny knot and the power band, remember that the power band guarantees one stat to be passed on while the other selects 5 from either parents.

id say breed until you can get 3 ivs, then give that pokemon the destiny knot and the ditto whatever band/stat you want to pass down

black and white were awesome, great story. every town had something going on. i love x and y but lack of story and it was way too short. with a game this short they should have had way more post game content. very disappointed that i feel like im already done playing
