You can't blame someone's food choices for being nauseous without knowing more. For over 30 years I've been dealing with being nauseous daily. When I was 18 I passed out down a flight of stairs. It was from a really bad stomach/flu virus, and it totally changed the quantity of food I could eat. Up until that time, I could eat the side of a barn without issue - 2lb bags of peanut M&M's, 3 trips through a buffet line, etc. But since then, portions had to be smaller or I'd just feel sick, regardless of what the food was. So for me, bulking at around 3,000 calories has been really difficult. I have to drink some of my calories because it's a tad easier on me, yet I'm still taking my Tums nightly because I feel crappy at days end due to eating so much.

I hear you on that. When discussing nutrition we usually refer to healthy individuals with healthy metabolism and systemic function, unless otherwise stated. But yes, I very much understand that there are those with GI problems who have significant limitations and therefore very specific and individual needs as far as what they can eat, how much, etc. In fact, all the women in my family have major GI issues/diseases so I'm very familiar.
What I meant was that if a healthy individual knows they need to eat a ton of calories, they should try to spread their meals out as well as include very calorie dense foods in order to minimize volume. Liquids, sauces, high fat, dense carb, etc.
