I'm wondering if that would be a solid post workout meal along with a isolate shake? Probably wrong section but just wondering thanks in advanced

Yes that's fine to do. But as said above white or brown are fine and it doesn't have to be an isolate it can be just a quality blend as well.

that is my favorite post workout meal but quality beef is kinda expensive where i live so i go for chicken or pork ( lean )
as for post workout shake ( optional ) i go for 2 scoops of Combat Powder or 2 scoops of ON Gold Standard (or 1 combat and 1 gold standard ) and 5-10g creatine ..."go hard or go home"

@Merante I had that same meal yesterday had about 9 oz. of steak ...post workout an hour after i had my protein shake. It's a good amount of protein and its delicious however, its definitely slower digesting and depending on the cut has a lot of fat. My personal suggestion don't eat it everyday eat it maybe twice a week and find another good source of meat to eat. Bison and Lamb are both good replacements, Lamb has a better nutritional value and still has A LOT of protein and Bison meat is very lean and has a high amount of protein. Just my 2 cents pal , goodluck !

Chicken is certainly leaner. Steak can be really high in fat depending on the cut. Post a bout of weight training, protein and carbs are more essential to ingest. Personally, I try to eat my fats further away from my workouts as I become less active at the end of the day.
