There has been much talk in the past about Roelly's potential as a top Olympia competitor. With all these Kai vs Phil threads I think we need to show Mr. Winklaar some love, dude came in huge this year and was pretty well conditioned. Anyone else say "Wow!" when he walked out during prejudging? I know I did; good to see this guy dialing it in. He gets so huge during off season it was awesome to see him bring that same size to the stage this year! Not to mention the guy is a great representative of bodybuilding

His arms have definitely surpassed Phil's
They are simply cartoonishBench: 215x12 (17/12/2011) PR since torn RC

Definitely the surprise of the year. I've always liked Roelly's physique and this weekend, the dude showed up big time. I personally had him beating Jay and was surprised to see him getting the best of Ramy in their side by side comparisons. There were times during that line-up where he looked bigger than Ramy which was shocking to me. This is certainly the best Roelly we've seen and the guy is so young, I can see him becoming a future top 3 competitor.

I love this guy, very friendly & humble. He said it's a dream come true just to be in the top 10!! Extremely happy for him that he was FINALLY able to keep SOME of his size!
Freaky size, and easily the best arms in the biz.
We can only imagine how well he'd do if he knew how to keep all of his size...he needs a "guru" who can hook him up with the goods.

Definitely deserved to be in the top 6, he's 37 but hasn't been pro for that long. Usually people slow down in their late 30s and early 40s due to being burnt out from the drugs and injuries, but you can be at your peak well into your 40s if you don't burnt out. I see him in the top 6 next year if he keeps it up, and top 3 in 3 years or so.

^ Yeah Dexter is definitely a testament to the fact that taking your time and having patience with your progression can defy age (up to a certain point anyway). Roelly might be 37 but has yet to show any signs of slowing down. I can certainly see him continuing to improve for the next 2-3 years.

Definitely a Roelly fan, nice and aesthetic, and his muscle bellies are huge and full, and he has obvious room on his frame to grow a little if wanted, I'd say next year if he comes on with a little more size in a few places, and condition top 3 potential for sure.

If I could have any of the current pro's physiques it would be his for damn sure.. so damn sick .. looks incredible in clothes too thats whats so cool, got it all.. my big complaint is, I really think he should do his FDB with the attempted vacuum and DEF not the flexed abs approach.. anyone agree?? I talked to him for a while at my gym here when he came guest pose for our NPC Mr. Louisiana show... I told him that many of us fans think he's best FDB is with the sucking in as opposed to the crunched abs approach and he was just like "I like both" .. I just REALLY feel like the FDB looks so much better the other way with him
and yeah agreed to all you guys' talking about the arms surpassing Phils.. agree 100% .. his arms (forearms, bis, tris - the whole 9 yards lol) seem too good to be true.. also love the traps - they are so damn ideal
