He is in no way over hyped or over rated. You're looking at a guy training srsly for 3yrs, where he went from noone to 8th in his first Mr Olympia. He should have placed 6th/7th imo. As his muscle maturity develops and his conditioning improves he will be Mr O, money on in it.

To be brutally honest, he will not place 1st because its his language barrier that stops him.
He does not speak English, and the TITLE of Mr. Olympia isn't just given on physique, but to be the bodybuilding ambassador of the sport.

Extremely impressive first showing. But...one of us will know what direction he's going in until the next time he steps on stage. Right now it's all hype because he burst onto the scene with a bang.
Three years? If it took him only three years to go from nothing to what we saw at the NY Pro, then he could've grown another leg in the four months since that show. And guess what, he didn't look that much different.
Could be the next great champ, another markus ruhl, or someone who eventually fades into oblivion. Too soon to tell, since we've not seen any real progress from him yet, and progress is what it takes to eventually have a shot at being Mr. Olympia.

Because Ruhl when he was younger was a bigger and more shapely version of Ramy today. Shape and conditioning will keep Ramy from being Mr. O. With that being said, I hope he proves me wrong.Originally Posted by JigPig

Personally I think he is the most structurally gifted BB on that show. Lets hope he would get the right condition next time without losing size.

I maybe wrong, but I think aekest point was the judges/politics are used a lot against thee bodybuilders. Kai may never become Mr. O even if he rocks it on stage do to his past. (Hope I am wrong, on this. Kai is amazing). So they may hold fact Ramy doesn't speak English against him thinking be a poor ambassador to sport. I think could open up new market personally.
