The setting; I'm in hospital.
The problem: their food is awful, and their "healthy" options are "diet" crisps (that's chips to USA folk) and diet soft drinks.

Jimmies severely rustled today. Ex work colleague posts on FB sharing a post from one of his female friends who got refused entry to a nightclub - they apparently 'test' each female guest's size by making them step into a hula hoop. She didn't fit through it so they didn't allow her in.
I told one of my friends about this and she said she'd been to a nightclub in London where they refused girls entry if they were deemed 'too ugly' or 'too black'.
Wtf is this world we live in. I can't even...- Fallen Angel -

But these 'standards'.....all these girls/women who are striving to be what other people deem to be 'beautiful' probably have no idea what that means anyway because no one has told them. So all these people are aiming for perfection when (a) that doesn't exist and (b) they have no idea what constitutes perfection in the eyes of others anyway. And then you have the fact that 'perfection', even if it did exist, means different things to different people. I could go on, but I would tie myself in knots and meet myself on the way back round!

Fatigue. Your body's still tired from the 415 and is thinking why you make me do this?
Congrats on 415. Was that a PR?
I rustled my own jimmies w/ my shoddy lifting technique. Just started recording myself for the first time in over a month, and I let myself get sloppy.
F that. I gotta shore **** up.You can't help the hopeless.

Thank you 415 with the slingshot is a PR. I am going to retest it in two weeks. You're right, it was my fault for trying to impress a buddy a couple days later, I should have just filmed the 415. Yeah proper technique is huge, I let my bench get sloppy and my shoulders hated me for it years ago

Welcome to the never-ending battle we all face...as long as I workout consistently I can eat like a teenage gamer and stay pretty trim...I stop lifting for a few weeks because life happens and I got busy and suddenly none of my pants fit right and half of my shirts are verging on skin tight...across the belly.
You say you're in the UK, but this sounds like every American hospital I've even been in/been through.
Don't y'all have discrimination laws?? And people willing to punch bouncers...
I get the pretty ones thing from a business perspective, they sell more drinks when the club is packed with attractive women...but everyone's vision of attractive isn't the same and I've never understood how this doesn't have very real legal ramifications! I mean the hula-hoop and the "too black" bit would get a club shut down over here after an embarrassing lawsuit...but even the less obvious acts of discrimination should be punishable.
As PR said, fatigue, you used up your reserves on that big lift and it's going to take a few days to recoup...
Be careful with that, sloppy lifting can land you in a world of hurt or worse put you out of the game permanently. That and lifting angry is great, but never lift in a rage, your form suffers as does your common sense, I ****ed up my shoulder just throwing some weight around benching years ago and it wasn't even big weight, it was 180 or so pounds, but sloppy form and erratic motions turned that weight into something completely uncontrollable...which brings me to my next point. If you **** around and hurt yourself, don't wait, get it looked at, I ignored it for years and odds are now that I will always suffer a notable weakness in my left side because I was too hard headed to get it looked at.At the revolution school the other weekend a guy walked into the second classroom session late, sweating profusly, hair straight up with dirt all over him. He sat down, raised his hand and said: "please explain brake fade to me". -CSG @Corral.net

Luckily, my lifts weren't bad in the "I'm going to hurt myself" way. They were powerlifting bad: squats not deep enough, not pausing long enough on my bench, not finishing my lockout on deadlifts.
I know better and if I had been recording more over the last month, I would have caught these earlier. Well, I got 20 days to fix everything, so let's get to work, recording every session until my meet. You can't help the hopeless.

What really rustles my jimmies is the ass-dragging HR department at my company. I applied for a new job and have been through multiple interviews. It's taken me weeks, and other jobs have passed me by meanwhile, because I can only apply for one job at a time. I swear, it's been like trying to get into the FBI, except this is just a lateral move so I can have a better schedule. I'm completely miserable at my current job and just want to hear one way or another so I can stop feeling so barftastic and anxious.

For those of you that follow my journal, you'll know that my older brother is a d!ck. For those of you that don't follow my journal.....my older brother is a d!ck.
Cliffs:
-Nan passed away in August, I suggested it would be nice to go out for our xmas meal this year as it wouldn't be the same indoors without her
-Email my Mum and two brothers, all in agreement
-At beginning of September I send them options of restaurants, taking into account my older brother's wife is vegan (and a fussy vegan at that!). I know this sounds early but you'll understand why I did this early because I knew what would happen
-Chased older brother since September as he was the only one who hadn't chosen a few options
-Only tonight when he messaged me about something unrelated, I reminded him of deadline and that I would book tomorrow regardless of whether he chose or not. I suggested the one I was going to book
-He replies saying only two vegan options on the menu (which is bullchit)
-Tells me to 'give him an hour' and then he'll tell me what to do
We will be going out for a meal at a place which is near where they all live! My husband and I live 3.5 hours away. Wtf do I bother? If I left it to my older brother nothing would happen, but like the mug I am I offer to organise it and then get d!cked about!- Fallen Angel -

You can't control how he acts. You can only control how you react to him. If he doesn't put up any options, pick without him. When he complains, don't even respond. Just smile, shrug and go about your business.
You can't help the hopeless.

This, you're a MUCH nicer than I am Angel, I don't have patience for these people, I would've planned it out, given them one chance to voice and opinion, and then finalized the plans with or without them. Not a single **** given, you're not responsible for him or his useless wife.At the revolution school the other weekend a guy walked into the second classroom session late, sweating profusly, hair straight up with dirt all over him. I totally agree. My problem is that if he kicks off and causes a fuss/disagrees with my choice, my Mum would moan about him to me but wouldn't put him in his place and say 'look, this is the deal'. So I am kind of left on my own with no back-up. Easiest thing would be not to organise things like this again and leave it to him....however, if we did that then nothing would get done. We've had issues with him not organising chit before.
We always end up arranging things around his wife to make sure she can eat. I'm not saying her food choices aren't important but I'm sure she's not as strict a vegan as she makes out! Yeah, I should have just decided and said 'tough chit' because that is what he would do. Anyway, turns out he was looking at the wrong restaurant's website and the one I chose is good for his wife. *slow hand clap*

Wouldn't blame you, job market is brutally over-saturated with qualified candidates though...that's the main thing that keeps me from doing the same. Too much competition for too few jobs.
Honestly even with mom moaning I'd chew his ass for creating a fuss right in front of her and tell him to grow up and grow a set.
No can do, legs not long enough to kick across the pond. #manletprobsAt the revolution school the other weekend a guy walked into the second classroom session late, sweating profusly, hair straight up with dirt all over him.
