And likely peasants will be frothing at the mouth while clutching mommy and daddy's credit card in their hand, meanwhile R* makes even more money off of them. This is how you get people to pay for online when it's free I guess...
Everyone should band together and not pay anything...but that will never happen.MAGA

Isn't online going to be a psuedo-mmo which means R* is going to make it a persistent world for at least two years? Imagine next year when they release an updated Liberty City for players to fly to. hnnnnggg. Doing that will cost money and I have no problem with them offering OPTIONAL microtransactions. This isnt call of doody multiplayer where its just an automated matchmaking service that doesn't even have dedicated servers.

an MMO with 16 players? lol I could understand if it had more players per server but 16? and persistent world is a marketing buzz term for we will patch it every so often, can you link me to the article where they said they are going to allow flight between there and liberty city? that is a dream which they will never deliver on.
Oh and will cost money? lol how much more do they need after making over a billion on the biggest entertainment release ever?
brb will become the industry standard if this business model is supported and shows sucess
brb paying for XBL/PSN + Retail price game + micro transactions in the game which should be earned by playing the game
brb console gamers having no understanding of the F2P model
brb how much do you want to spend on the one title
brb optional? lol you won't think that when you are grinding for hours to unlock a weapon customisation or car customisation and some yob has just whipped his wallet out and got the best weapon upgrades and best car upgrades
If you have no understanding of how they work micro transactions you would obviously not be bothered by this but I guarantee earning money in game will be so slow and involve grinding the same missions/actions endlessly until the point were you as the consumer are tempted to just think "phuck it"and pull out your wallet, that's how these microtransactions work.Misc ninja

micro transactions are what will eventually kill online gaming in general
its already ruined both PC/consoles a lot for me with a game coming out new for 59.99 and having DLC a week later that is $20 for a new class or $10 for side questsYou don't need a reason to help people.
RIP Zyzz & Greg Plitt, my two biggest inspirations.

So you guys are aware its for you to buy IN GAME money that you can otherwise earn in the game. I'm sure its not that hard to earn as much as is being offered. People just love crying about the smallest things.
I dont see why if someone wants to buy more **** with real money go ahead and waste your money on In game money.
I'll have more fun earning it and feeling rewarded when i rack up my cash and spend it.
That being said i have $$$ i got from the Xbox points to $$$ thing that went on about a month ago. like $4 but its still enough to spend on one or two micro transactions.
Its not like they're making you pay real money for weapons. Although its indirect, Im sure you can just as easily kill someone and steal their weapons.
Brb finding misc players with microtransactions and murdering them.
I feel like its not a big deal. You cant really pay to win since money doesn't buy skill or save you from dying.

i agree its retarded to sell gimmicks for $$ like sidequests or useless ****, and it makes single player games bad, they sell incomplete games and rip people off with addons. unforunately there are too many retards that keep buying and im afraid this will go on for quite some time
but it works for the better when done correctly. see dota 2: buy skins for your heros and buy keys to open chests or buy tickets to watch tournaments in-game

Says right in there things are locked to rank, so it literally won't make that big of a difference anyways.
But while some things are cheaper, others are more expensive. You'll pay more for weapon and car mods, and most are initially out of normal financial reach. Yet any potential access to these items can only be unlocked when your character ranks up.GT: Conzidine

Yup.
If you're not a certain rank you won't be able to purchase certain items/services.
So stop whining about the micro transactions.
brb someone spends $5 real life money to get a million dollars
brb kill them while they're walking around with $500,000 because they were trying to buy a huge house
brb take the money and leave

Rockstar's original intention was to release a completely separate GTA: Online video game stand-alone.
They decided against it and added it into GTA5. That's why you have the micro-transaction stuff. Because you get GTA: Online for free instead of buying it separately for a price and spending money for online access.

I really don't mind paying since it's under $20.... but after GTA5's huge sales I can't believe R* is still trying to milk people's money.
But they did make an amazing game that was worth full price. It has so much detail that you can tell they worked hard to make this game.★★★★★★ dafar

yea if you wait 5-6 years later to get one..... at launch consoles are about 300-500. Think about each time a new console or generation of consoles comes out. Plus 60 dollar games, plus 50 a year for online services. It adds up. PC is a large initial investment but after that you really don't have to spend much. Just an upgrade here or there every few years if you want to stay top of the line.
Also if people don't like the microtransactions then just don't participate in it. Speak with your wallets people. Like any business the gaming industry is trying to milk as much money from you as they can and if people buy into it then their going to keep doing it.
