    Creatine Nitrate with Creatine Monohydrate

I am taking 5G of creatine monohydrate per day (it comes in the protein powder that I use after workouts). I want to try a pre workout supplement that has creatine nitrate in it. I am curious if it is alright to take both types of creatine together. The doses are 5G creatine mono per day and 1000mg of nitrate on workout days. What do you guys think?

There's no problem mixing them. There are plenty of preworkouts and creatine products with multiple types of creatine together but in the end that 1g of creatine nitrate will literally not make a lick of difference because you already are taking the 5g of Creatine Monohydrate. GL OP!

    Heeeelp!

Been taking Arnold Iron Cre 3 and really like it for the most part. Yet its only 1g. Of creatine nitrate. Ive read that the absolute best thing to with creatine overall is 5g. Pre and post work out 10g. Total a day. Supposedly the 1g. Nitrate is the equivalent to 5g monohydrate. I dont agree especially considering what ive read and reviews. Thinking about stacking Arnold cre with around 3 g. Of the ON brand monohydrate pre and post to get me closer to that full dosage. Would this be a good idea or not make a shred of difference?

All you need is 3g of creatine monohydrate on your workout days only. Absolutely ludicrous to take 10g a day or even 10g on your workout days.

This is verbatim, copied from bodybuilding.com

If you use creatine monohydrate or most other forms of creatine, then go with 5 grams both pre- and post-workout
