but who were aesthetics?
i'd take a frank zane style physique over modern bb'ers anyday.
"I dont workout for chicks, I workout to create an aura. When I walk into a room, introduce myself to someone, go for a job interview, I love looking dominant, in charge and in control. I love walking past and having people point and talk about me. I love the fact that when I go somewhere with thousands of people, almost all of them will remember who I am when it is over, and i didnt even have to say a word" - Zyzz

Totally agree. But when you just look at his physique by itself it is a weakness-everyone has a weakness. But it's more than made up by perfect insertions, symmetry, and really round muscle bellies. This year it seems like they're going to play the size game since Ramy's in town, so Kai and Jay can definitely bring the size and conditioning, but Heath has to pick one or the other.. We'll see how it goes, but I'm pulling for Kai.

Because it is too much mass. Even though he has less mass than the other Mr O competitors it is too much. The physique doesn't appeal to me. It is not what I would want to see in the mirror when I looked there. It is not the body I want to build. It is too big. I don't know how else I can explain this. Doesn't mean I don't like bodybuilding, just means I don't like where the pro level has gone. I love weight lifting as a way to sculpt your body into the desired form you want.

I swear every single thread and video about modern bodybuilders gets hijacked by people whining about how "unaesthetic" they are.
I appreciate the golden era as much as the next guy but I don't ****ing cry about it every time somebody posts a picture of Phil, Ronnie, Jay etc.“No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training...what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable." - Socrates

after watching that video on what ifbb pro's use. guaranteed he takes copious amounts of not only celltech but synthol. regardless that is beyond crazy. just like... mind = blown
literally sat there for like 30 seconds thinking that I had never seen anything like that regardless of drugs/oilsThink you of the fact that a deaf person cannot hear. Then what deafness may we not all possess? ~ Dune
We need a new ideology with the core values of reason, honesty, science and secular progress over the older traditions of religion, superstition and dogmatic faith that have long defined humanity. We will never be free to progress and advance until the last stone from the last church is cast down onto the last priest. And every equivalent.

I'm not saying that, I would just like to have a conversation about modern bodybuilders without having a swarm of 70's and 80's fanboys sidetracking the conversation.
People evolve and move on. You wouldn't complain about a football player being too strong or fast right?“No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training...what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable." - Socrates
