What's up everyone! This is our joint adventure here to push each other through those hard times and moments that keep us all from meeting our goals. Vicky and myself have been together since 2003 and got married in 2006. Over the years we both have put on excess weight and decided to put forth a solid effort to make some changes. In the past we have picked up gym memberships and put small dents in but fell off. I have been pushing pretty hard now since March 2011 and have since dropped about 60lbs. Vicky has put in some runs here and saw some nice change but for one reason or another dropped off. After telling her how much more motivating for myself it was when taking part here on the forums she joined up, she has ran a few logs and enjoyed the motivation but would kind of fall off after completing the log. I have ran a journal that I found very helpful http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=146231293 in a number of ways but above most was the push I got from my buddies and brothers here. Vicky thought it would be a good tool for her as well but wanted to do a joint journal so here we are! I'm currently involved in a 12 week shred contest here through bb.com http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...53&pagenumber= and Vicky is probably going to run Jamie Eason's LiveFit Trainer program. Here are a few pics of where we were and where we are now:
I'm pretty happy to see her jumping in a little more and willing to make the effort here, also gives me that much more motivation! Look forward and welcome comments and drop inz here! Time to roll!

What's up everyone, glad to be home and going, really feeling motivated after having a somewhat dead week last week. Will be hitting the gym later this afternoon, plenty to do here at the house this morning.
Morning Supps:
Multi: TSN Vita-T
Omegas: Controlled Labs
ErgoBolic
TSN Natural T
BB.com CLA
BB.com Incliner 8
PWO: bb.com Scream
Intra: bb.com Amino Recovery
Post: Muscletech Anabolic Halo
Session:
Incline DB Press w/ Box Step Ups:
3x Warm Up Sets
7x75
7x75
6x75
6x75
Not comfortable going into 2-5 rep range presses without spotter or someone near by. Going back a prior statement, hitting the heavier weights without being able to stretch out between sets has gotten me in the past and just about got my shoulder today, going into the 3rd set got a tweak in the shoulder, got up, stretched it out a few different ways before hitting cardio acceleration and seemed to feel a little better but I did not push the issue going heavy on next two exercises as I felt some pain on 4th set.
Flat DB Press w/ Jumping Jacks:
1 x Warm Up set
12x55
11x55
11x55
12x55
Decline BB w/ Press Box Step Ups:
7x185
7x185
7x185
Assisted Dips Chest w/ Box Step Ups:
3 Sets w/ Slow negatives
Assisted Dips Triceps w/ Box Step Ups:
4 sets
Close Grip BB Bench Press w/ Bench Step Ups:
12x135
10x135
11x135
11x135
Hanging Leg Raises w/ Jumping Jacks:
4 sets
Hammer Strength Crunch Machine w/ Jumping Jacks:
4 sets
Can honestly say I have a love hate relationship with this program. Up side is that heart rate holds up, get a nice sweat and time is consolidated with doing cardio between weight sets. Downside for me is that I feel like my strength has declined some, not being able to use that in between set time to stretch out muscles which is something I do religiously and on more than a few occasions I have gotten some aches and pains from not doing so. While I like the program in switching reps and weight ranges up, I'm not too key on doing the same exercises 12 weeks straight, I will probably be emailing Kate to find out how much room we have to switch things up some here.
Supps: Very happy with the supplements, only downside for me is flavoring of Scream and Amino Recovery is a little on the sweet side, effects are very good and I will continue to use these supps after this run has ended. I've found using about 16oz of water with the scream works well for me and with the Amino Recovery, I initially mix it with about 20-24oz. of water and once I've gone through about 1/3 I refill the cup. Also I throw in a few ice cubes initially and try to let it sit in the freezer for 20 minutes or so to get extremely cold.IG/Snapchat: qstick99

First I want to thank everyone for throwing some support out for Paul and myself and thank Paul for keeping on me and getting me motivated to not give up. My workout went pretty good this evening:
Wide Grip Push Ups x 4 sets. Started out using standard form, then went to my knees to complete each set.
Flat Dumbbell Press: 3 Sets of 15 reps per set
Flat Dumbbell Flys: 3 sets of 13 reps per set Still getting form down for this exercise, Paul says I'm still pushing more than "wrapping my arms around the tree" Last set felt really good
Narrow Grip Pushups: 3 sets, started in standard position for what I could do, then finished each set from knees
Dumbbell Tricep Extensions: 3 sets of 13 reps per set
Rope Pull Downs: 3 sets of 12 reps per set. These really burnt

Good luck guys. I should be able to get back to visiting logs consistantly in a week or two.

A step backwards is better than a setback.
If this (insert whatever trivial thing that is upsetting me) is the worst thing to happen today, I'm going to have a great day.
