He is right about all those shtty ingredients and fillers not being good for you.. 90% of calories in that sht comes from sugar.. you really think youre doing your body any good if you have a pre workout meal of poptarts (just sugar)
see how you feel working out after eating that.. instead of say... some eggs.

Yeah im like wtf.
Also if you make your own pizza with the flour, yeast, and have the toppings fresh from the store I don't see how people can say pizza is bad. Probably just because of the general idea that it's a "fatty food".
I'd expect though you would be more "healthy" making your own IFYMM cakes and ice cream to be safe of the companies putting their own chit in it.
I'd love to make my own hnnnng chips that fit my macros. Although can't be bothered wasting time if it's no different to the chips at the store.

I personally think saying nutrition timing and food choice etc doesn't matter at all is stupid. I will agree it isn't as important as some people make it seem, but I think many more studies need to be done first. All the juice guys say it is stupid. They react to food the same as us only at a faster rate or recovery so I would assume if it doesn't work very well for them than it won't work as good as everyone is saying for us.

The vast majority of people who follow and push what they call IIFYM do not know what IIFYM truly means, do not actually calculate various chit into their macros anwyway, use it as an excuse to be lazy and gluttonous, look like chit, do not have the willpower/fortitude to endure a strict diet and are jealous of those who do, and want others to look like chit and be slackers with them so that they dont feel so bad about it.

I actually think that eating clean goes beyond the 'staying lean' or whatever benefit. There is a mental aspect to it. When you wake up early every morning, prepping your meals and eat them every 3 hours without fail , then you are constantly thinking about developing your physique.
Whatever you constantly and genuinely think about, your body begins to work towards achieving that goal. Kai Greene said this in a documentary once.. When you go through the daily disciplines, it puts you on the path of achieving the best physique you can, mentally speaking. After that, then you can begin talking about growth at the cellular level.

one person does a magical rain dance at a specific time of the day and then walks through the door
the other person just walks through the door
both people's methods worked, both people got through the door
the difference being the first guy is full retard mode (bro eater) and the second guy is logical (IIFYM)

The GOAT Ronnie Coleman ate junk food very often and he used to eat fries with BBQ sauce everynight. I don't know if you consider it IIFYM but he certainly didn't eat what you call "clean". At his mass level, he had to eat probably 6k or more kcals to grow, sure he ate his chicken whey and grits but ate junk food regularly. Arnold used to eat whole pies and pints of beer in contest prep too. Is that enough proof for you?
Open your mind, you don't have to eat 8 small meals a day consisted of grilled chicken and broccolli.
