Looks like he's lost some muscle judging by this pic as a starting point. He looks really depleted in the vids, almost seems like he looks pale sometimes. Or maybe that's just the lighting? I'm wondering if maybe he restricted calories too much at once in some sort of effort to get lean fast or whatever.

Jason's problem IMO is that he doesn't care that much about being a bodybuilder... He cares about being famous. He wants attention, he wants glory, and he wants to be loved. But he's not willing to put in the work. Watch him when he lifts. On almost every set of every exercise, he stops lifting before the bar speed even significantly slows down. It's as if going to or near failure is so difficult for him because the muscular pain and effort required to do so exceed his desire to be a bodybuilder. In some ways he lives and breathes the sport in his passion, and he probably thinks about it every few minutes. But to him it's a fairy tale where you don't have to work hard. Listen to him yell when he's doing side raises with PJ, not even close to failure and yelling in pain. Assuming that Genova is physiologically like the rest of us and doesn't have some sort of condition where going to or near failure is like having your bones broken, then he's simply lost in a world where he wants to achieve his goals without putting in effort.
'People are gonna remember me as a god forever... Like-like-like Troy, like Chiles heel, I'm a god forever I'll be remembered for thousands of years to come' - Jason Genova

He himself has said that bodybuilding is just a means to an end. Eventually he wants to get into pro wrestling (do many people still care about pro wrestling? Seems like a 90s thing). A bit like if The Great Khali was 2 feet shorter, white, and autistic.
You feel sorry for him. It's not like he has a career as a high-paid defence attorney in his future. We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.
You can't stop us. You can't hold us back.

This guy isn't "all there" mentally. If he was a normal person, he would've made a lot of improvements by now. But he's not a 100% normal person.
If I was his dad I'd step in and be all like "Stop this BS!""You can always do what you have set your mind to do if you don't allow Fear and Discouragement to stop you. People say that Faith is the absence of Fear. But I believe that Faith is the presence of Courage in the face of Fear and Failure".

Entertainment at its finest, but I give him credit for putting himself out there.

I'll be curious as to what the final product looks like now that he's a sponsored athlete and of course what specific excuses everyone will make other than the typical "he's mentally challenged". Far more deserving young, up-and-coming bodybuilders would have made much better use of that sponsorship. What a waste...
"I was laying in bed one night and I thought ‘I’ll just quit — to hell with it.’ And another little voice inside me said ‘Don’t quit — save that tiny little ember of spark.’ And never give them that spark because as long as you have that spark, you can start the greatest fire again.”

do you realize how many other people have a better fan base than him that would be MUCH BETTER choices from a business aspect? If PJ can get Jason lean then he is a god for TRAINING not for blackstone. That will help him personally not Blackstone. Jason is lucky if he has even gotten 1 person to use his discount code. Every vid gets a few thousand views. every single one? Why? because its the same exact phucking people watching his vids almost no one new. If you think thats a good buisness strategy to get someone whos fan base has been relatively the same for a while then idk what to tell you

I will agree to disagree. However, let me point out one thing. Jason received some supplements, some groceries and some tees in exchange for thousands of views on youtube, this site and various other bodybuilding sites. This isn't some guy on Instagram who gets 100 likes and gets the same deal as Jason did. You see my point?

And Jason isn't a growing star with a growing fan base that will make them more money in the long run. Again, the same people watch his vids everytime, not many new people. They do not get much business from this.

Not everything in life makes perfect sense, but i will tell you this - there are plenty of people who do charitable things just for the sake of business and reputation.
Almost impossible to prove of course, but if your morals are right, you'll know when it's honest and when it's not.People these days have more reps than brain cells

I know that lol. I am not saying that they are doing it because deep down in the bottom of their heart they decided to help someone in "need" but I don't think they did it expecting to rack in all these sales. Its more of "just do it for the hell of it and see what happens" tyhpe attitude imo
