It's 300, I don't really need the lat attachment. Was considering some from legend and bwtg, but this allows me to get one down the road and get a sled at this time, which is something I wanted. Going to see if he will do less when I check it out.
He said it measures 7' in height by appx 4'-6" width. Not sure if that's the front and back he meant but I'll see.

Which power rack is this? Or just a home made one?

I had one just like this... let me dig up the thread.
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=121155511
seems there are some very slight differences, but it is quite similar.
I thought I had better pics of it in another thread, but the search feature here kinda sucks.Last edited by xephonics; 09-11-2013 at 05:43 PM.

That rack looks a lot like a version of Rippetoe's Starting Strength rack with a lat pulldown added. I'm sure that it's homemade.

I was thinking the same thing. This one doesn't look as beefy as the one you can buy, so it seems like it could be a homemade version of that. There aren't too many racks out there with channel instead of square tubing.

I still have the $20 parabody clone. I sold the $50 bodysmith parabody rack for $200 cause i wanted to get the powertec commercial one but i just came up short. I still have the nautilus half rack that ended up being free with profit .
Rippetoe sells his rack commercially??▪█───────█▪ Equipment Crew #46 ▪█───────█▪

Technically no, it's through a place in Wichita Falls though (Brown Bros Welding). That being said, he endorses it on his forums though and it's mentioned in the link. No idea if he gets a cut of the sales though.

The problem is: if you, somehow, fall over the columns, the edges of the channel are going to be sharp enough to do you some damage. Safety wise, tube > channel. The rack looks old school, and quite cool, price is good. But, i will pass. If i were younger, and restless, i will probably buy it. Looks tempting at first sight.

I'm with Stasher, even moreso - I've never seen channel that's edges were sharp enough to be any kind of a concern. And, you could easily put some adhesive foam rubber or corner protectors over it if you were really concerned about it.

minivan without the seats - you should be fine. With the seats, still should be fine but might not be able to close the back gate.
I fit my Parabody rack, 300lbs weight set, and a bunch of pulley handles in a Jetta...it was riding low, but we made it.Boomer Rep Crew #1
