Russia is part of the United Nations, I don't think they would want to attack us directly because of the United Nations responsibility to uphold the chemical weapons ban. And they wouldn't want the conflict to become too large and possibly be part of the start of WW3. They do support Syria as a ally though, so they might shoot down our missiles shot at Syria and send Syria supplies though.
