I'm interested in what people here do to maintain their health other than bodybuilding?
I've been lifting for a while now, whenever my join date is. I've gone from 135lb skinny fat to a decent 190lb, not big but I'm happy with it considering where I started from.
But despite having a decent physique I don't feel particularly healthy or energetic. So I want to build a more general healthy lifestyle.
I'm paying more attention to my micronutrients, I've started yoga, and I'm trying to get more sleep. I was wondering what else people here do?

martial arts are probably the best way to expand your horizon a little bit. Boxing is great, but for health reasons I think kickboxing or muai thai is better, sort of elite in terms of physique, though I never tried those two. I mean, if you think you are fit - step into the ring and get beaten up for a cold shower. I also do a freediving, lot of it, beach and ocean are my major health fix.

My wife and I train together about about 99% of time. We just got one of daughters to join the gym now and she trains with us. Sometimes we'll hit some of the classes together that the gym provides. We'll also grab the rest of the children and go to park for sprints or plyo's, or go for walks, hikes, and biking.

Bike ride with the family. From november-june im on the wrestling mat with my boys(8 and 10). July-november coach football for my younger son. Pus my job can be rather physical. I used to be heavily involved in bjj but shiftwork, family, kids in sports, weight training takes up enough time. Something had to give.

try to do 40 mins moderate / hard cardio every day, roll, stretch, do a ton of mobility and band work - but there's never enough hours in the day sadly.
eating as few carbs as possible not to impact gym performance helps keep my bloodwork good, and taking as low a dose of 'daddys special creatine' hopefully means I get to keep doing this for years. Fish oil and a bunch of supps help a little too... I also need to stay under 230 so I don't need my sleep apnea mask (this is a HUGE negative for health and a great argument for not 'bulking')
I do worry about escalating body damage from heavy lifting, too many carbs, stims etc. Not the healthiest lifestyle in many ways especially if you spend most of your waking hours slouched over a desk

Thats awesome man. Its such an amazing sport. Both of my boys love it. We practice year round but august-november is just mainly drilling. We go hardcore football at that time. First tourney for us will be november 10th in PA if my boys football team doesnt make the play offs. If they make the play offs i will have to skip it. What club do your boys wrestle with.

Absolutely. Lots of open tourneys around. My youngest made it to mawa eastern nationals last year. Nothing like smaller tourneys. Huge venue. You have to qualify at districts, regionals to get to nationals. Definately worth it if you can do it.
Edit. Dont know you or your boys personally but tell them to stay at it and work hard. The rewards will come.
