Yes, it makes sense to work everything equally. No one should ignore a particular body part. You said you had small triceps and you put up big numbers using mostly your shoulders and biceps. This will definitely not work for the OP, or any other newbie that's trying to increase his or her bench press. The primary muscles used are the shoulders and triceps. They need the most attention.
bet you wouldnt think Deadlifts and hang cleans work the biceps either huh?

It isn't 400. It is 275 w/ 130lbs of bands. Completely different. I do the majority of my work with bands to strengthen my shirted bench. It feels like 400 on the liftoff, which is why I referenced it in relation to the liftoff. My point was unracking that type of weight 8 inches away from your groove is very painful and detrimental to the shoulders and your setup.
Your vids are still private.Experience, not just theory

civpit..you seem to be lucky you have a naturally strong upper body because your not the smartest dude in the world to put it nicely. obviously youve never trained with bands before so why comment on them? if you had trained with them youd realize how dramatic it feels at liftoff with that much band tension

Not a Know it all. Just have My own Opinions and I know what works for me. Everyones body is different so if Bands Are giving you GAINS then Fugg what I say. Easy as that.
Im Not Knocking BANDS or a BOWFLEX type of resistance. BUT ON my BOWFLEX why is it I can Tricep Pulldown the whole 250lbs....Its just NOT
Real weight. So your 400lbs IS NOT REAL

A bowflex isn't a band. It is a rod and it is connected to pulleys which changes everything.
I know what tension my bands are for two reasons. 1) They are labeled. 2) I tested their poundage on a scale at the distance that I press. You don't seem to understand bands. 405 and 275 w/ 130 of lbs are different. The banded press is 275 at the bottom and 405 at the top. It increases from 275 up to 405 as your press the weight. The actual weight of the bands doesn't matter.
What does matter is when I get on the platform in front of 3 judges in 3 months I'm gonna press over 450lbs.
