first of all this is not a hate thread , im not bagging people for having the haircut , this thread is to aware people.
the ss cut. for some strange reason the phenomenon to get a undercut has swept the globe. Men , miscers and even women are following this trend. Many male models have this haircut and the great rudy rudy himself endorsed this style of hair. People believe it is aesthetic and that the ss cut = guarenteed pussay.
Oh how deeply wrong everyone is.
The SS cut as with any haircut looks good on a select group of people , with certain face / jaw structure and who most importantly can pull it off. Every man and his dog (srs, SS cut master race poodle) now have this haircut. im here to tell you to stop. A haircut should be one that suits your style and the shape of your head.
example of a good SS cut that suit there face and style.
heres an example of a few miscers who belive they go the haircut of the godz! yet look ****gy as phuck , srs dont kid yourselfs , they look honestly sh!t
(no hate tho, im just tryna make a point)
Haircuts need to be expereimented with on each person. Itll take a while for you to find a haircut that suits you, for example i went down the road of SS cut , i felt so ****gy allways adjusting my fringe then my mum told me it looked bad (Phucken srs , no FA but that **** hurt) she suggested a way in which she liked my hair. so now i have a medium length top , short sides (no shave , only scissor cut) and a tapered back thats the same length as top . and people complement about my hair all the time. It looks messy, stylish and not "try Hard"
some hairstyles that are good and not the ss cut
<<<the most aesthetic face/hair ever IMO
so my fellows , experiemnt with your hair , find somethign that suits your head , most importantly ask loved one/ trusted ones on their opinion on what they think will look good
stay safe eveyone

cliffs
-SS cut is not for everyone ( infact it only suits a few people , mostly feminie featured men)
-Op gets SS cut , mum tells him its a sickening haircut (srs)
-op gets a haircut suited to his head
-Advise people get haircuts that suit their features , go for a natural look , remeber a buzz cut or any shaver is non natty and looks try hard! (think primitive)
-stay safe

Long hair crew here. I got dat dere Antonio Banderas Desperado/gif curly long hair. I've thought about doing the SS cut but like you said, I'm sure I would look weird with it. I know that the classic military-esque crew cut works well for me when I used to cut my hair.

Guide to getting a good haircut:
1. Find hairdresser (one that cuts in similar style you are going for and knows how to cut your type of hair)
2. Talk about what sort of hairstyles will suit your face/hair type
3. Get hair cut.

SS cut crew checking in. Pics on my instagram for you detectives. I like it for the most part. The back sometimes gets on my nerves, and it's not the most ideal cut for thick hair like mine (first world pains etc etc).
Also, it always has to be done, otherwise:
What I like most about it though is that everyone has something to say about it (whether positive or negative). Dat controversy
EDIT:
For actual "SS" look..Left four is freshly cut, right four are a couple weeks later:

I've been complimented on my hair by an old time barber, saying that it's thick. You bring up a different point though so interested in what you have to say
For anyone wondering(not that there will be) I use Johnny B. It's greasy but awesome, not dry like American Crew or too greasy like some others I've tried. Plus American Crew is expensive as phuck, Johnny B is cheap as hell and you can buy it in bulk and save more.

I tried everything from 3mm up to having ~20cm dreads.
Now I simply roll with this (with some slight variation after each haircut)

The "high and tight / Ivy League cut" (think Mad Men), similar to the SS, looks really good and isn't as exaggerated as the SS. I get the 2 clipper on the sides and hand cut 2.5" on the top.
Works well my Asian straight hair and I don't have to look like Goku with crazy anime hair nor get a generic buzz cut or faux hawk like any other Asian guy. More professional looking too.---
