I am just hesitant with games like that, I am sure I would like it. If the gf seems to have interest in it I would pick up for her.
I am the sucker that buys the yearly games even though I end up hating them in two months. Plus, I never play them for the story, so that part doesn't really bother me. Kz3 just drove me nuts because of the hordes of people using the invisibility perk. But did have fun for a bit.

Oh you mean game sharing and whether the PS4 will count as one of two devices allowed to be sync per each account.
As far as I know, Sony has not commented on the topic. However, the following wording is listed at the bottom of the description for PS4 games in the PS Store.
One-time license fee for play on purchasing account’s designated, primary PS4™ system and other PS4 systems when signed in with purchasing account.
IMO, that can be interpreted both ways. It is however different from what (shareable) PS3 games say.
One-time license fee for downloads to up to 2 console systems that are associated with the purchasing account.

Well guys, I just got done gathering all of my PS3 games and I'm going to head to Gamestop in a bit to see what I can get for them all for in-store credit. I spent about 10 minutes cleaning off my PS3 and shining it up, gonna see if Gamestop or Amazon will offer me the most for it. It makes me feel sad doing it, but it will really help in giving me some money towards my PS4. On another note, I was surprised that I have 19 PS3 games. I forgot about so many of the games that I have.
Maybe I was making popcorn the whole time, did you think of that?
But really I don't understand the problem with that mic, it's such a pain in the ass.
I love kiddie games too, don't worry. It's a huge reason why I have a Wii. Idk I just enjoy the lightheartedness of the games and the simplicity of them. I love the Mario Galaxy games and Mario Kart (Wouldn't necessarily call that one a kiddie game though)
And totally disagree about the Pirate theme, I think it sounds badass. Inb4 you get modnegged by Zblack. I hope the game does a good job of really pulling me into the whole era.

You can swim anywhere at any time. But you can only dive at the diving missions ( Sunken ships and underwater caves ).
Everyday I read tons of stuff.... when someone surfaces about this game. I read what they say from actually playing it. So I factor in the good with the things they pointed out not so good. The only problem I see when people talk about demo's is the unknowns. Comparing what they are saying to what it is they are playing. Like ship feels clunky? Does the demo have all the upgraded ship equipment? Sails, upgraded max wheel, etc? Also demo's are more action based since they are a short amount of game play to grab peoples attention. If you were to research the tons and tons of video game footage on this game. You would see like AC Dev's have also stated many times. You can stealth most all this game if that's the path you wanted to take. So if you know a lot about the game, you can process through all that. Just going off by this review here.
I like it when others in here come to the thread knowing a lot about a game I do not. This is kind of what I did for this game as I did this also for Red Dead Redemption. Knowing full well that game was going to be a hit long before it came out.
Here, just a hour ago on the PS4 playing AC4: Btw, like most always..... I add the pictures because people suck at doing so, lol....
PlayStation 4 and Assassin’s Creed 4: Preliminary Hands On
The opportunity to finally get my grubby mitts on the hotly anticipated PlayStation 4 was somewhat brief at Play Expo. Gamers were allowed approximately ten minutes with the console to play a small demo of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, which I shall discuss momentarily. In this article I’m going to double up and talk about both the game and the console.
PS4 controller
Personally, I have never been a fan of the usual PlayStation pad. The convex sticks often lead to difficulty with my sweaty thumbs and the general button layout has never felt as ergonomic as competitor’s offerings. However, this new controller feels much more comfortable. It’s noticeably wider, which leaves the hand feeling a bit more free to move and adjust to positions, as opposed to the sometimes cramped feel of previous controllers. It’s also gratifyingly heavy; it feels dense and durable, a fine change from the PS3′s offering which felt a little too light, often leaving it feeling fragile and almost cheap. Sony’s new offering is significantly more satisfying to hold, a small change that shouldn’t make me as pleased as I am, but, well, it does. Another little change that makes the world of difference is the adoption of indented sticks, allowing your thumbs to sit comfortably and securely within the sticks, which fixes what many agree to be the PlayStation pad’s main drawback for the past three generations.
PS4 Graphics
Graphically it was hard to get a good feel for any improvements on the previous generation, due to proximity to the screen. Ubisoft had players positioned quite close so the full graphical experience was probably slightly lost on us. However, Assassin’s Creed 4 still looked a treat. One can expect the graphical improvements in this upcoming generation to be somewhat less impressive than in previous generations. In the past, even doubling the amount of triangles in a synthetic image made a significant difference, however having a high number of triangles in an image and then increasing that amount diminishes the effect. Increasing the amount of triangles from 50 to 500 would have a much more significant graphical improvement than increasing 5000 to 50,000, it’s called “diminishing returns”. Still, textures in the game had a satisfying crispness to them and movement was gloriously fluid. The water effects were stunning and facial graphics seemed certainly more “human”, for lack of a better phrase.
The PlayStation 4 appears to be a solid and impressive piece of kit, delivering what it promised and improving it in ways that have enticed this hitherto Sony skeptic to adopt it as his next-gen console of choice.
Assassin’s Creed 4
As for Assassin’s Creed 4 itself, as mentioned, the game is stunning, with the new graphical power and tropical surroundings, framed with glorious nautical scenes, it’s a joy to behold. It plays in similar fashion to previous games in the series, with an added focus on nautical combat, a feature that the demo really tried to push. Sailing and fighting other vessels felt very similar to the mechanics in Assassin’s Creed 3, with the added freedom of being able to jump ship and destroy/commandeer the enemy vessel from within, which proved to be immensely satisfying. The sailing still feels a little bit clunky and can prove, at times, to be quite frustrating and I hope that Ubisoft don’t push this aspect of the game too much, as it seems to be one of those features to really prove effective if played to the player’s individual style.
I wrote previously on this title, stating that Ubisoft seems to have dropped any pretense the series still had of being an “assassin” franchise and the demo seemed to back up this assertion. Upon disembarking your ship to kill an enemy general there seems to be no attempt to make the gamer think tactically nor stealthily as it launches you into a small battlefield, forcing you to cut a swathe through enemies in order to get to your prey. The combat is fluid, satisfying and generally well constructed though. I stand by my initial preliminary assessment of the game, that if you dispel any inclinations from your mind that you should be playing as an assassin and just enjoy being a free-roaming swash-buckler, you’ll still enjoy this for what it is, a pirate game.

Never heard of that site, but it appears to be written by an amateur so take it with a grain of salt.
Every time I think I know what I want at launch, you post some AC4 stuff and I have to reconsider. Do you know if throwing knives, or something similar will be in this one Z? They have been my favorite weapon in the past AC games, I'll be disappointed if they aren't*Stare an inch away from the wall inbetween sets like a cat crew*

I camped out for 72 hours for PS3 - when my PS4 gets delivered, will I be able to log in with my same email address and use my same PSN handle? I have had the same one since SOCOM, and I'd hate to lose it.

Not sure I've ever read that anywhere. I'll seek it out. But you know what bugged me about that in games past, lol. I'd throw my great sword just bought from the shop at some dude in the big fights. Then after I'd have to search through all the bodies for it..... Or half the time forgot I threw it and go to use it and be like awh...awh. But will check. I think the fact of having duel swords and 4 pistols is damn epic now. Along with a faster more brutal combat attack.....( knees and elbows ).

Colored DualShock 4 Controllers Coming to North America “Soon”, but Not Before PS4′s Launch
The DualShock 4 has been showcased with two additional colors beyond the usual black: Magma Red and Wave Blue. Unfortunately no release date has been mentioned for the two colored controllers yet.
Just yesterday we reported that Canadian GameStop stores are already selling the controller, but only the black version.
SCE Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida just responded to a series of tweets by a few fans, mentioning that the two colored controllers will indeed be released in North America soon, but they won’t be be available before the console’s launch.

PlayStation-exclusive DLC for Assassin's Creed and Watch Dog are locked for six months
PlayStation snagged exclusive DLC for both Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. But, "exclusive" typically means "timed exclusive" in this business, and that happens to be the case here too.
The 60 minutes of new gameplay promised for both games are exclusive to PlayStation platforms for 6 months only, a new video released by PlayStation reveals. That means you'll likely be able to play as Aveline on Xbox and PC just by being a little bit more patient.
Of course, Ubisoft could choose not to release the content on other platforms at all. For example, the PS3-exclusive Benedict Arnold missions for Assassin's Creed 3 never made it to any other platform.

Infamous Second Son
Infamous: Second Son: Blending Together The Power of The PS4
The biggest titles using the new Dualshock 4 touchpad are Watchdogs, Diablo III, release title Killzone: Shadow Fall, and, of course, Second Son. Diablo's implementation has been hazy at best, but Killzone and Watchdogs both have very specific plans in mind for the technology. Wishing nothing but the best to Guerilla Games and Ubisoft, but Infamous developer Sucker Punch probably has the right of it.
No one knows how a new technology will turn out. The Wii's motion controls gained wide acceptance for something that was initially derided as a gimmick. The Sixaxis motion controls now seem to have been added to the Dualshock 4 as an afterthought. With that in mind, Second Son plans to use the touchpad for contextual attacks and interactions, at least according to the information available right now.
Action buttons and triggers are very specific interactions; either you've hit the button or you haven't. The touchpad breaks with those types of controls because every player is going to interact with it differently. Until developers have a better idea of what that range of interactions look like, it's a smart move to keep vague. So if you generally sweep your thumbs out on the touch pad, Delsin Rowe rips a gate apart. If you raise and hold it in a specific area, he holds up a glowing power source with one hand while the other pummels it with fire. If you're in the ballpark, you're tearing up the stuff that the current situations demands being torn up. It's a "use" button with a bit of extra flair, and that's just what's needed for a title acclimating players to a new technology.
The touchpad is also going to be used when Delsin recharges his powers. While developers have been tight-lipped about anything but his smoke/cinder powers and the existence of neon powers, we do know he's going to need smokestacks and burning vehicles to replenish the former and neon signs for the latter. Deslin's ability allows him to absorb the powers of others, so he's going to acquire more as the game progresses. Beyond the neon powers he acquires from Fetch, specifics on those additional powers are a mystery. Gameplay demos have featured enemies who can manipulate bricks and Cole MacGrath's electrical powers in the first two titles are well established, so we can still make some educated guesses. The developers have expressed their interest in theming his powers after "modern elements," which could easily include smoke, neon, bricks, and electricity.
We haven't been shown any gameplay with Deslin utilizing multiple powers, but it's not a stretch to expect combos based on mixing up power combinations mid-combat, similar to DMC: Devil May Cry. As he incorporates more powers, you should be able to swap between them to use the best parts of each power suite.
Developers have implied that the gameplay of neon powers will be much slower than that of smoke powers, even if their connection with light suggests a kind of teleportation. The starting smoke powers have tactical uses with the vents and provide a decent boost to transiting with the glide, but something that can get Deslin from one side of the map to the other faster than a flying squirrel would open up the sandbox and be boon to most players.
Infamous: Second Son is the title most likely to really demonstrate the capabilities of the next generation. Supporting deeper immersion, superior AI, and smarter interaction are features that most gamers take for granted, and they represent advances in game performance beyond advanced graphics and alternate endings. Granted, Second Son is going to include all of that, but it's important to remember the fundamentals.

Just got back from Gamestop. Went in with 19 games, told the girl working there that I'll keep everything that's under a dollar, sold 11 of the games and got $77 bucks. Completely paid off a pre-order for AC4 (Zblacktt will be proud) and put the remaining balance towards COD: Ghosts and completely paid that off as well. So I ended up paying just over $40 for two brand new PS4 games.
But brahs, I need some advice on what to do here. I just realized that I don't have the original PS3 box which drops my trade-in value from $114 to $87. Should I just keep the console? I feel like for that price I might as well just keep the console and pay the extra $90 towards the PS4. Help me out brahs!
