    knee pain/discomfort

    I am pretty much a squat junkie. Haven't squatted too much lately because of basketball. I do olympic squats, which are narrow stance (about shoulder width) and high bar, and I go all the way down and pause at the bottom. Today I almost got pinned at 275 front squat, but managed to get it up. Then when I was back squatting 275, during 1/4 of the descent, i noticed this pain/discomfort irritation right under my knee cap. As i went all the way down, it went away, then when i went back to 1/2 squat, it came back again.

    So after that, even without weights, it would come back even when i squat body weight or even if i walk up a stairs. but it doesn't hurt at all if i stand up straight or go all the way down.

    foam roll your quads, IT band, hamstrings, and adductors. get voodoo floss bands and use them regularly. poof, no more knee pain.

    sigh, I do all of the above religiously, besides voodoo floss bands. beginning to think I have Chondromalacia.
