First of all I am aware fat loss is mostly diet, however, I want to know more about powerlifting(deadlifts, squats, bench press, etc.). I read that powerlifts are great for muscle gains and fat loss because multiple muscles groups are worked out. Would any of you agree?

not all powerlifters r fat. usually in a comp, most of them are lean to fit in their weight classes n dominate.
powerlifting is great for cut. but also very taxing on the body.♛ PUNK AESTHETICS CREW™ ♛

If you need some form of evidence that squats, deads, etc. Will aid you in physique goals just take a look at Arnie.
For all the trash talking that goes around sometimes he was still a PL champ before getting into bodybuilding and still lifted heavy ass weight as a bodybuilder.
Heavy compound movements are always effective, provided you don't eat like a fat ****.the latest and greatest in training...or whatever.

Can powerlifting movements be a great tool for fat loss? Definitely.
But if you bust your ass at any sport, you'll have low bodyfat. Just look at high level athletes across the spectrum. It comes down to what you enjoy enough to motivate you to work hard.
If your main goal is fat loss, there are better alternatives, but you can definitely make powerlifting work to that end if you want to.

i have lost nearly 40 kilos while training powerlifting style.
ive had days where i had to drop weight though......deficit makes you weak sometimes.
but your body stays hard......try it out if it works for you.
its a balancing game, gaining strength and losing fat,.....not easy, but i can say first hand its possible. look at my photos.3 cans of tuna a day crew.
Finally figured out the headaches crew.
