I recently moved to the UK for a new job, the pay is good, it's nice being in a country where you can be completely independent, but I've been here for 3 weeks now and seriously getting mind blown by a few things.
- The food. People here eat really bad stuff, I went to the supermarket and saw this:
Mars milk?? As a southern European, I could not even fathom such a vile thing could exist.
But it got worse:
DEEP.FRIED.MARS.BAR
Supermarkets are riddled with poisonous food, there's chit food in every supermarket in the world, but here in the UK... aisles and aisles of poison, it just baffles me.
- Mobility scooters. Never before have I seen such wizardry. And it's not just fat people, normal looking men and women ridding these things.
- Newspapers. Yet to find a truly serious newspaper, seems like newspapers here range from slight drama to heavy drama (some stupid bish's tattoo'd ass in the cover), what's a decent newspaper if I want to get informed? I don't care about famous people or mobility scooter races.
- ATM machines. Can't figure these monsters, some are free to use, other's have fees... fuking sorcery.
- Quiet places to relax at night. Do they exist? Pub after pub of loud music and old people, plenty of clubs, but can't find quiet places to have a chat, or just to bring a book and read through the night
Enlighten me UK brahs.

Our food is notoriously ****, not going to deny that. But no one I know of would actually buy or eat the stuff in the OP, deep fried Mars bars are a novelty.
If you go to a decent area you wont see a single mobility scooter. I rarely see fat people on my campus of 30k students.
Decent newspapers are The Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph. Most others are current event themed entertainment magazines.
Have never come across an ATM with a fee, are you using a foreign card?
As for places to chill, where abouts are you?

UK obesity rates are quite high for europe i believe, the UK also has significantly higher rates of binge drinking than most other countries in europe.
UK is also notorious for ugly people outside of big cities (dfw hbbs everywhere in manchester, london, birmingham).
The UK also has terribly weather except in the south where its decent.
UK of peace.

All the indian people I've met were really chill, no complaints.
I don't go to pubs and clubs to read books, but I used to be able to find plenty of relaxing places at night when I wanted to, chill music quiet atmosphere... some nights I just like to read with a drink close in hand, whyumad.
I'm from south Europe, food culture is immensely different... did not think it would be this different though.
