I'm sure it'll go smooth but I've heard/read stories on here and irl where people get charged months after cancellation or something. If I have to I'll cancel the account they take the payment out of but I'd prefer not to since I use it for automatic debits for other charges.
This one just opened up the past year I think so everything is new. Most of the sketchy people around here go to LA Fitness or 24 Hr Fitness anyway. Your AF sounds chitty lol

That's usually because they don't read the fine print. Sometimes it say you have to cancel the previous month by a specific date. Read your contract to be sure what date you need to cancel so that it works out to your advantage and not the health clubs.
For the record. I have my staple equipment list. If the gym I'm interested in doesn't have those machines, I walk. Its also important that there's no crowds when I want to workout since that too, can be a deterrent.π₯

One of the reasons I'm leaving LA Fitness is their 8-8 hours on weekends. Sometimes I have to work weekends or work until 10pm weekdays so I like the flexibility of working out whenever I want. That was a huge plus in my book. I considered 24 hr fitness but it's a lot farther and out of the way if I want to get a quick workout in. I signed up for a no-contract membership so we'll see how it goes.

LA Fitness was a nightmare to cancel with. I tried over the phone, and was told I had to meet IN PERSON with the manager. She worked from 10-3, Monday through Friday. For those of us who work, that isn't really an option. I found an address on their website where you are supposed to be able to mail a certified letter to cancel. I did this. No luck. I finally had to dispute the transactions with American Express, who locked them out from pulling any more monthly fees.
I will NEVER join another LA Fitness. it's one thing to have stupid fees at startup (like every gym does), but to actually make it impossible for people to terminate the service is just ridiculous.480s / 370b / 495d / 235 x 2 SOHP

bb.com has a little selection of bands, and if they don't have what you need rogue has a decent selection too.
I'm picking up a purple monster band when I go visit friends in the US this fall, band stretches are GOAT

Lower back has been getting hit hard as **** since I've been starting to go heavier on rows and whatnot... decided this was a must as I want a functioning back when I'm older
Also this for weighted pull ups and dips
$50 total for both belts, pretty solid purchase
