Grilled up almost 5 pounds of protons for lunches this coming week
Dry rubbed with Cajun spices and some habenero pepper that my dad made. Turned out spicy! Just sampled some and I can still feel the heat a bit

Monday 8.26.13
vacation is over, but it wasn't a bad day both at work and in the gym. The adjustment to work was no big deal, I was awake an hour before my alarm and ready to go.
Weight room was ok, bench felt a tad heavy, but I've been on low carbs for 3 days straight now so I'm sure that plays a part
Squat
45 x 10
135 x 5
185 x 3
225 x 1
240 x 5
240 x 5
240 x 5
3.5 min rest. Beltless. Easy
Bench
45 x 10
95 x 5
135 x 5
185 x 3
205 x 1
225 x 5
225 x 5
225 x 5
4 min rest. Not super easy, but definitely not hard.
DB Row
45 x 15
65 x 15
65 x 15
90 sec rest
DB Flat Bench
65s x 15
65s x 15
90 sec rest
Floor Skulls
65 x 15
65 x 15
90 sec rest. last 4 reps of the final set burned like hell
Standing Calf Raises
135 x 15
135 x 15
Super Set w/
Lateral Raises
20s x 15
20s x 15
90 sec rest between super sets. On the next bulk I need to work on the lateral delts & calves, so I figured I'll get used to hitting them again at the end of my Monday session now
good to see you mon ami!
definitely gives the plain old chicken breast a nice kick!
mrswoody's meatloaf is hnnnngggg
chicken came out awesome! I chowed a bunch of that for lunch today
thanks and welcome!PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Thanks coach!
thanks dude! Still kiddie weight, but the form is feeling better than ever. Hope it continues when I close in on the 300s again.
i've also never done worksets without a belt this heavy (I usually always belted for worksets above 225 except for the random beltless single here and there)PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Wednesday 8.28.13
I'm sorry to say that I am pulling the plug on Hudson for now. When i started it in July, I was planning on being back on normal calories by week 5. Now it's week 8 and I have 3-4 more weeks of the cut planned lol
I would continue, but I fear pushing it too hard on one of these max effort pulls will end up badly. Injury is one of the last things i want right now and I'm too stubborn to put the bar down (check out last week's 445 pull and you'll see what I mean). It will be revisited in the future!
Front Squats
45 x 10
135 x 5
155 x 5
180 x 5
beltless. easy
Deadlifts
225 x 5
315 x 5

lockout got tough on the last few reps. Solid set though.
Shrugs

90 sec rest
BB Row
145 x 15
145 x 15
90 sec rest
WG Pull-up

90 sec rest
EZ Bar Curl
70 x 15
70 x 12

Hammer Curls
20s x 15

90 sec rest
I'll see if I can steal it from the missus and send it to ya

Woody, that is I think the best vids you have made. Those fronts squats. Okay I have a question. I have a big problem at the bottom tilting forward. You can keep VERY upright in the bottom and coming out. Any tips? I am wondering if I am not engaging my back right to keep my chest open?
The DL looked hard. I was liking trying to pull for you. Think it is always smart to listen to your body. For as low as you have cut, I am amazed at how you have just kept chugging along like a beast! Hats off brother!

Thanks dude!
The soundtrack won you over
for fronts, I arch the back hard and really drive the bar back into my collarbones/neck (very important to do this at the bottom of the lift)
I don't push the hips back like in a back squat, I just sort of drop my arse down to my heels. If I try to sit back too much like a back squat, forward goes the barPRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1
