Its been a hard road learning to lift, especially since Ive had to deal with 2 shoulder surgeries and a snapped bicep tendon........all this happened within just over a year. I gave it all I got since March but this includes my pt time also. Ive been watchin Corbi in beast mode and it really inspired me. Today I went in fasted at 157 and went for it and pulled my 320 pb. It went up pretty good and tried 335......failed, lol. I can pull more I think but I shoulda tried 325...... oh well, maybe next week.
Im not big on takin pics of myself....... especially flexing in the bathroom,lol. But hey, its a great way for me to track my progress. Im really proud of myself. Im tellin ya, I was one skinny weak S.O.B........ I should dig up some old pics. I know, I gotta long way to go, but Im in this 100%.

Not sure, its a YMCA..... I havent seen anyone use chalk. Dont know why but very few peopl do DL's or squats while Im there. My grip is pretty strong from years of cutting metal at work but it will prolly fail at some point.
I will research straps, chalk , and double overhand grip. Thanks for everyones suggestions.

Hit DL's again today. Did 135x10, 225x6, 235x6, 240x6, 315x1 then 325x1. Only gained #5 on my pb but Im happy with it. Im workin hard to hit 350 by the end of the year,,,,,,,I just might make it. My weight was 158 but I lost #4 last week (154) when I had a sinus problem. Took me a week to gain back what I lost.

The YMCA I workout at does not allow chalk. What I do is keep some in a ziplock bag then wrap that in a sweat towel so no one ever really even sees the chalk. When I'm done I make sure I clean the bar well. I figure as long as I minimize any mess then no one has a reason to complain.
In other words, don't ask if chalk is ok. Just try to keep it on the down low as I can almost guarantee it's not allowed at your YMCA either
