When I started having panic attacks at 16 which led to a nervous breakdown.
Brb losing all my best mates cos cut contact with them
Brb not been able to see family / go to weddings / christenings
Brb eventually not been able to leave the house
Still effects me today I.e. presentations, speaking to groups of people panic attack sometimes happens.
But can live my life normally for the most part now. We all gonna make it.'We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.' - Aristotle.

damn, i can't even imagine how you must have felt back then...posts like this one always remind me how important my family is and how much i love 'em.
sounds kind of silly compared to your story, but i thought the same thing until i broke my first bone and had my first accident...we're all so fragile, it's scary

Know that whale feel, OP. *shudder*
Cliffs on my most traumatic experience:
- Year is 2009, I'm 18. End up chatting to some random chick a hundred miles away on FB.
- She used to flash her teddies on MSN. BRB whacking off at 5am with her on webcam.
- Turns out she's bulimic/depressive/a complete psychopath; says she "loves me", wants to marry me. Do not want, ignore.
- In February, write humorous email to friends about five girls I wanted to bury. Include pics, blurbs and "estimated cup size".
- 18-year-old lulz, forget about it.
- Fast forward to July that year, get a text from psychopath girl saying "im not an emotional trainwreck : ( : ( "
- Have heart attack, as that's how I described her in email (irony lost on her, considering she bruteforced my account).
- She's hacked my email, my FB and then the killing blow - she sends the email I sent to my friends to all the girls I mentioned.
- BRB "i thought you were different", "grow a backbone", "don't ever talk to me again", etc
- BRB Genuinely liked one of the girls in the email and managed to get her not to open it by saying I loved her.
- BRB Stuck in a ****ty relationship with said girl for six months thereafter.
- BRB Second year of university completely obliterated as girls in class discover I'm an untrustworthy deviant.
- BRB Don't socialise with class at all.
- BRB Awakens deep-rooted anxiety disorder and depersonalisation.
- BRB Only really recover face in last year of college.
Interesting time, for sure.

Panic attacks in the 6th grade. ****ed me up for a couple of years because I was afraid I would get them again.
My mom broke 3 limbs and was in a coma for a while from a car accident when I was in pre-school. I remember she was supposed to pick me up and she never came and I thought she didn't love me anymore and then my Grandpa showed up and took me home and explained everything to me.
I saw my Grandmother die, that was pretty horrific but I wouldn't say scarring..
I think I still have something wrong with me from seeing my father dead when I was a year and a half old.
Edit: I'm pretty sure the panic attacks were due to my mom and dad situations. I saw my Grandma pass when I was 17 or 18American Patriot

I know that feel. Never really have any serious injuries and even when you break a few bones here and there you heal REALLY quickly, so still though I was invincible. Nothing could kill me and then ****ing BAM lol. It really is crazy how fragile we are.
Agreed. Was lucky.

Be 11, racing my friend downhill cuz I was a bmx pro (not srs) and all of a sudden my fukin brake jams when taking a sharp turn, fly off bike and land in a pile of jagged rocks elbow first, couple rocks got stuck in it. Brush away rocks and just a giant fukin hole in my elbow, no skin no nothing. Walk home, tell my mom I kinda messed up elbow she sees it and freaks out like hell. Go to ER get a bunch of stiches and staples (for my hw) lol srs tho for my elbows.
