I'd be curious to see the gt350 head to head with a C7. Usually its seen that the vette is in a different category than mustangs because they're kind of track monsters, while there hasn't been a recent factory track mustang. But now things could get interesting.

Just do some lap time comparisons.

VIR for instance:

Boss 302 ran in 3:02
C6 Z06 ran in 2:50


We know the GT350 is faster than the Boss 302 and the C6Z is significantly faster than the C7.

This is probably a noob question but how much do you guys think the prices on 2015 models will drop once the 2016s hit dealerships? I'm thinking of buying the 2015 ecoboost if I could find a good deal on one. Right now I have a 2000 GT and kind of want something newer. Never bought a car from a dealership before I've always paid cash to private party for both of the cars I've owned. Other thing I was thinking about is looking at a 2011 GT.

A slightly used 15 won't be that much cheaper that a 16, a few k, but it'd still probably a good idea over brand new. Just shop around and be very patient.

I'd guess a few months after the 16s are out and they have a larger stock of 15s. Depending on demand though, the used 15s might not sit on the lots long.

Check out 11-14s to really save a lot if that's a huge concern. The GTs can get decent highway MPG if you drive carefully.

There's a shop employee with a camaro that has a killer exhaust and making the office employees look like sh!t.

$24k base v6 or maybe a nice used '11-'14 5.0
$26k ecoboost
$32k gt

The ecoboost has nicer options available so I'd pick that. A boosted V6 would be interesting but for total cost to performance it's probably cheaper to get a base ecoboost and light mods, or even a base GT

Definitely the ecoboost. V6 has absolutely no aftermarket support whatsoever.

If you aren't willing to pay a massive premium or your family/friends don't own a dealership you probably aren't going to do nearly as much trading up you think you are for 18-24 months....

Expect production delays in 2016 due to parts scarcity

2016 GT350s are already being built and I didn't pay a premium on mine.

HUH? What are you talking about? No one who is actually looking to drive the car is going to pay for a '15( they're already taken anyway) and people are getting '
16s for around msrp(5-10k bump in some areas).
