On a side note, **** Texas weather.

I left town for a few days and left my mustang in the driveway. It got demolished by hail. The worst part? I took full coverage off her a few months ago because it's been sitting in the garage collecting dust and doesn't even have current tags.

Anyone know of a good product to get hail dents out? They're small but there's LOTS of them. I'm seriously considering buying a new hood.
Negative chief , if your tuner is any good at what he.... or she (LOLZ).. does they can leave all sensors on and they will show ready.... I know... I do it every single year...If you are interested in using a top notch tuner for such a thing I recommend Shaun Perry @ AED.... on the flip side you are allowed to have 1 not ready and still pass inspection.

And good luck with the hail dents bruh!! there are methods to fix those but when it looks like the back of a fat girls legs is it even worth it?

Those rims bolt right up without any spacers or modification. Yeah, the Velgen's are expensive... I'd trade them for a set of Vossen CV3's any day though

    Thanks!

I won't go with anything that nice but I think wider tires will be the best bang for my buck.

Considering Fords move to EcoBoost on pretty much everything, I have a hard time believing they're going to build a NA 7.0L engine for the GT500.

i agree, but it might be related to trump trying to gut environmental regulations.

Gotta compete with Dodge, since they're willing to turn anything into a 500hp muscle car.

455hp doesn't seem too far of a stretch considering they're bumping compression and adding direct injection along side the port injection.

This seems about right. Possibly 465 just to be ahead of the ss Camaro.

I'd seriously laugh my ass off if Ford bumped it to like 2-3hp over the Camaro just to piss them off.

I've been researching different car models for my first purchase, and finally test drove some this past weekend to get a feel for them in person.

Drove a 2014 Mustang GT and a 2011 Camaro SS (both automatic, pretty sure both were stock). I liked the GT quite a bit more, it just felt like it handled better (better steering and braking, easier to whip around in, not sure if that was due to better tires or the actual car or what, though).

Also planning on test driving a 2008 C6 Corvette soon to see how it compares, as they are similarly priced used ($22-27k)

Any recommendations/thoughts on the 2011-2014 Mustang GT vs. 2006-2008 Corvette as a daily driver? Or any other cars to look at?

the mustang would be a little more practical, with more space and easier to drive but the vette would perform slightly better. personally i'd love to have a vette as a weekend car but not a daily driver. i've only ridden in a corvette but it seemed like it'd be stressful just doing simple stuff like going over speed bumps or parking in a public area. i'd rather have a car i could take down a dirt road on occasion if i needed and not have to worry about it, if that makes sense.

I got a quote for a single turbo installed for my '11 GT--$8.1k. think I'll just focus on paying it off instead for now, while shopping around. I'll be moving from CO to TX this summer so I bet there's more competition and lower prices there.

Vette's have pros and cons for being daily driven... as does anything... however in a vette its pretty cut and dry. They actually get great fuel mileage when you keep your foot out of it... and its a Vette...of course its going to be a fun daily. But it will wear on you quickly on the daily grind... they are low... potholes feel like craters... and I cant speak for anybody else but the lack of room would end of driving me crazy.

negative on the bolded ghost rider... 2006-2007 models he is looking at came with the LS2 which a stock Coyote will pull a stock LS2 vette...at least mine did time and time again. They replaced the LS2 with the LS3 in 2008 which simply fks a stock coyote up... as well it should. Personally I would be searching for a 2008+ if I were in the Vette market... which I might be very very soon... Love my Coyote but the wife got rid of her '15 GT for a mom mobile recently and isn't very fond of driving a standard... I got her approval to go buy a Vette as long as it was an Auto... which I thought was funny because if I wanted to buy a Vette I would just do it and deal with it but her wanting one means I get a bigger budget... lol

I got her approval to go buy a Vette as long as it was an Auto... which I thought was funny because if I wanted to buy a Vette I would just do it and deal with it but her wanting one means I get a bigger budget... lol
Ah, thanks for the advice! The corvettes I have been looking at near me have mainly been the 2008 model (430 hp LS3). I guess it's something I'll have to drive and see for myself how it feels - hopefully will be driving a 2008 this weekend.

One appealing aspect is that the corvette seems more unique/uncommon on the road as compared to the mustang. I still think mustangs look sweet, but there are definitely a lot of them on the road.

Also planning on test driving a 2008 C6 Corvette soon to see how it compares, as they are similarly priced used ($22-27k)

Any recommendations/thoughts on the 2011-2014 Mustang GT vs. 2006-2008 Corvette as a daily driver? Or any other cars to look at?
i have a 2011 mustang GT and its my daily. visibility aint the greatest but the interior space is actually not bad. ive had a few normal/large adults in the back for quick trips and they've been surprised at how comfortable the bucket seats are.

Trunk space is reasonable as well.

Not the case around Houston...I always see a lot of them running around... and more times than not they are C7's. But then again I am on the road a lot so I come across all types of cars. I see some sort of exotic every day around my office.. (for the Houston Bruh's its around the Galleria area)

    sup guys

took my car to my first ever track day and had a blast, definitely recommend it to anyone interested in motorsports. These cars are very capable with just a few minor mods.

Here I am chasing a z06 with Nitto NT01 R-comp tires, but the session was cut too short for me to pass him. (sorry for the shaky cam, had a ghetto mount)

here's the full session filmed with my dashcam

    thanks

Just checked insurance quotes and its cheaper for me to insure an LS3 Corvette + my Honda Accord than it is to insure a single Mustang GT... lol

Thanks, it really was, and I'll definitely be doing it again.

Regarding your predicament between a 5.0 and a Vette, I'd have to lean towards the LS3 vette even though as you see I own a GT. It's a much more capable platform and more rewarding to drive.

    good luck

Anyone up north and drive a mustang year round??? Looking at a 2015 GT and wanted to know if snow tires will be enough to get by. Obviously if its a blizzard im done but this would be for light snowfall, ice, etc.

Had my eye on the 2015-2017 models for a while but paranoid with the crappy weather.

Multiple salesmen have told me it works just fine with snows but just lol at believing them.

Would love a GT CS...so dam HNGGGG
