Charity walk in Boston, walk 20 miles, fundraise the weeks/months before to help the impoverished people via soup kitchens and clean water efforts by Project Bread. I've done it in the last two years with old friends, this year I'm also planning on doing it again. Anyone in the Boston/MA area planning on/thinking of doing it?

Don't disrespect charity efforts. Should've put a serious tag. Not everyone is as lucky as you and me to have food anytime we need it. Previous years we've fundraised money, the first time around 500$ - no subtle brag if that part didn't make sense, just trying to put across the point of what they're trying to do, help people in need that we can.

Teams that are doing the walk raise money for it. Walking in itself doesn't due anything for the hungry people. It's symbolism in a way, showing that you want to help people by doing it, you're willing to do it. It's kinda silly in some ways but it means well. Don't dismiss it. It's also just fun.
