Can you really blame them? Many protein companies do it and make a fortune out of it, by cutting corners. So why not join in on the max profits and financial gains? F*** whole proteins, when you can reduce the costs of making a protein supplement by padding it with cheap ass, free form nonessential amino acids which your body can easily create (only if you have sufficient essential amino acids though).
LOL at these ****gs with no forearms, calves, and neck (not traps, but neck, two distinct muscles).

I just read a statement from a musclepharm rep on here. He mentioned that they do not count the non essential amino acids in their total protein count. That's always good I am relieved finally lol

Calculations are incorrect and that is not how testing works.
24g of protein dose not equal 24 g of the protein source. With something like an isolate the number is closer, but with things like casein, concentrate, milk protein, etc you will generally need more grams of the product to achieve a certain number on the label.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. 84g of chicken (3oz), doesn't give you 84g of protein, just wanted to make that clear.
Anyway, as far as I know, you cannot choose to count certain things in a test for protein content. Nor can you exclude them from the product when testing, for obvious reasons.
Regardless of whether you disclose the amount or not, if it is in the product and contributes nitrogen, it is counted
EDIT
So just to be even clearer.
If I have a product that has 40g of protein on the label, and I also say the product has 5g of creatine/10g of taurine/5g of glycine, just because I put that the specific amounts on the label does not mean that they are excluded from nitrogen testing. The only difference between my imaginary product and a product that lists the ingredients in a prop blend is that I have disclosed the amounts.
So, 40g of protein actually becomes 20g>. Since creatine has ~double the amount of nitrogen the Kjeldahl method accounts for and glycine has slightly more as well.

i don't know if this has been addressed before but Combat Powder labeling is a bit awkward...
1. "Multi-Level Amino Acid Growth Matrix" is just as much as the scoop size (e.g. Smores has 38 grams per serving and the AA matrix lists 38 grams. are they counting lecithin, chocolate/marshmallow pieces, etc. as part of their AA growth matrix?)
2. I believe the wording "Also Provides" in the AA growth matrix is a list of amino acids naturally occurring in whey and not free forms added. so that means only BCAA + glutamine are free forms added. at least that's how i interpret it...i take it for granted that no hearer of mine will misinterpret what I have to say as the language of cynicism

A lot of people buy it for value and profile and never had any real problems with company. The flavors are average to slightly above average, mixes thin its not the best or thickest on the market, but solid and gets the job done for a lot of people with good macros and has been around for ages.
I like the banana, not to sweet not the best tasting banana, same with the vanilla and chocolate, but also does not have higher carbs like some other popular proteins like Syntha-6 or Phase-8, not higher fat like myofusion or MTS whey which are 2.5-3 grams, thats going to make things taste better stronger simple.
If you do not like it try other proteins like I listed above
another good protein now is cellucor Whey with similar profile cinnamon swirl I am using now is good, I love the vanilla and PB marsh in oatmeal is damn good as well. So just try a few out see what ya likeTrying to improve day in and day out.

Wasn't there an independent study done not too long ago on the top brands of protein powders and how much of the protein in each your body ACTUALLY absorbs, that showed ON Whey coming in at the highest absorbtion rate by a landslide?
Taste isn't a factor. Will always use ON Whey2011 Pro Wrestling Misc. Section Best Debater

Seriously it was my favorite besides for the strawberry milkshake. I will always be a CnC fan.
PBM was not my favorite as a shake but it was pretty damn good when cooked with. Try making pancakes with PBM you won't be disappointed. The only flavor i would avoid is strawberry IMO but some people like it, but it tastes amazing when cooked with. For a shake i would recommend trying Cinnamon swirl, CnC, and Molten chocolate.1. Brady's balls were perfect crew

I've never tried the extreme milk. The double rich is very mild in the chocolate flavor, but I think it comes through well. There is no chemical taste at all to it. I mix it 1scoop to 1 cup almond milk, and it kinda reminds a cocoa. I don't like the real sweet chocolate flavors. Like the phase8 chocolate, which a lot of people love, it was just way too sweet for me.

both are interrelated to me. i'm actually not into drinking shakes at all and try to eat all my food. but in the rare occasion i have a shake i prefer taste, i just love mp protein flavors, i don't think you can go wrong on any of em.... as to the quality, kinda eeh to me honestly. i eat a lot, if i drink a shake the quality is not gonna be a make or brake type of deal
