the issue is 2 things:
1- these people have given up and its easier to come up with an excuse than to actually improve yourself. Which you suggested we all do.
2- when obama care is passed, we will pay more in taxes and our group health plans will skyrocket to pay for their health issues. not just cardiovascular disease, their knee surgeries and scooters to ride on because they let themselves get that large.
