Hi guys, did a little study, found DMAE and Vinpocetine really got great reviews, do they help students? and what are the good doses?

Any information on helping healthy individuals is going to be anecdotal, studies to gauge effectiveness are usually done in the elderly and those with impaired cognitive function. That being said the dose for DMAE varies greatly so you could start at like 500mg and work your way up, Vinpocetine start at 10-20mg.

Standalone no, but SNS Focus XT has them included which I can say is helpful in terms of helping one buckle down and get work done.

DMAE I've used on its own and isn't that bad. I would take 30-45min before a workout to increase focus.

Some doctors have been known to prescribe different doses of this before jumping right into ******** for ADD patients.

Hmm... Just bough prima force ALCAR and I have Huperzine A as standalone.... Isn't it the same if I take them separately? P. S heard FocusXT company was shut down.

Another vote for Primaforce's ALCAR. I've been adding 1 g to my preworkout for the past month or so and focus has definitely increased!

Look at the half life of the supplement. Sometimes they can be a general dosage daily and not a "30 minutes before exercise" type of recommendation.....like Creatine being a once a day and not necessarily a time before effect event.

MMM supplements are generally better without food for absorption, but along the lines of creatine mentioned earlier, carnitine can be found in food so it probably doesn't matter in this instance. Not certain though.

Take them on an empty a stomach as possible, but if you are just having a shake like you mentioned in the other comment it won't make a huge difference. Just know that if you have powders that they are not entirely flavorless in case you were going to mix them.
