It all comes down to Phil beating Kai last year. Really.
If Kai had won, and Phil wasn't number 1, every single one of these moaning knob's wouldn't give it a second thought.
But now look, 6 pages.

It is the main factor, absolutely agreed.
In my opinion, main problem for me was him making these really weird faces going a little too aggressive for a comparison round and him stepping on the line.
I know its been 11 months and you are sick of hearing that and you might say deal with it but him stepping infront of the line was really annoying for me.Grainy hardcore religious slabs of thick dense muscle. So grainy that it hurts your eyes

THIS especially on the facial expression changes. Heath was so different from 2011 and yet had regressed in 2012, in 2011 it was an effortless victory, in 2012 it looked like Phil was trying to force the win. It makes me wonder if Phil has some kind of allergy to either any of his food or supps. I much prefered the 2011 Heath both physically and mentally. It will also be intresting to see how thick Phils neck is this year, IS there a trend? The thicker the neck the more aggressive he is?

you've turned into a massive fanny round here lately.
stinking up threads constantly with hyperbole and faux outrage.
Also poetic justice for what? he never won, was a close contest, there was actually no controversy except for people getting there knickers in a twist because Kai actually bought an amazing package to the Olympia for the first time yet so the fans went massively over board with everything from line crossing to Phil apparent ******* attitude. never knew people could be so precious. the man Doherty on another forum summed it all up perfectly.
also can't wait for on here this Olympia for more dramatics lol

This is an intriguing thread for me. Usually I can't be bothered logging in anymore, let alone posting, but considering I never really talk about Phil, here's my opinion (on everything):
- I'm a massive Kai fan, but Phil won last year fairly.
- He shouldn't have stepped over the line, but the judges should have controlled it more. Overall, Phil brought a better package, therefore this point is neither here nor there.
- He has the best physique in the open division currently until someone can prove otherwise. Maybe Kai can do that this year considering how close it was last year.
Now, onto something which is a bit more of a grey area. From the start I have stated and thought similar to Tim: He's overly PC and fake. I have always thought this but have looked past it because I'm here for the bodybuilding, not for the personalities.
Lately it seems Phil just doesn't seem to give a crap, or maybe, he's always given a crap but now has the balls to bite back. This has really torn me, because on the one hand NO champ in any pro sport should ever behave like this, but at the same time this is the real Phil. Raw as **** and he's got a nasty attitude when you push his buttons, which I like. The reason why I have ALWAYS rooted for Kai more than Phil is simple - bodybuilding is his everything. I don't care if that seems sad to some, Kai's passion always blows my mind and that's why I'm a fan. If Phil had the choice, he'd be the next Michael Jordan. If Kai had the choice, he'd be the next Ronnie. This is what seperates them for me, personally.
He's the champ and does what he wants, it's cool but it's not professional. Take it as it is.My transformation: 7 months :)

To be honest, up until about a year ago I was a brosciencist who happened to work hard and have decent genetics. So any "help" i could have provided would have been misguided at best. I have engulfed myself with every bit of knowledge I can consume from Alan Aragon, Grey Cook, Lyle McDonald, Eric Cressy, Brett Contreas, etc. Basically trainers and nutritionists that sell books instead of BS or run stupid youtube channels because their work speaks for itself(I am aware all of these people can be found in videos but it is not their main focus or source of promotion as they spend their free time reading, writing, testing new concepts, etc)
