    is this diet ok

    im eating mostly eggs shrimp chicken and vegetables strickly water and no suger or salts. im 16 slightly overweight. i excersize 5 times a week at home cardio and dumbells situps pushups. should i be always be eating lots of meat?

    At 16 you should be eating lots of everything. You should not be concerned about sugar or salts, unless you have been told to do so by a physician or your parents. I like where your head is at as far as the push up and sit ups are concerned. You should be old enough to add in some weight training, using proper form and plenty of compound movements i.e. Squats, deadlifts, benchpress, Dumbbell rows, pull ups, dips. Start light, get your form down and your core built up, then progress to heavier weights, and eat, eat, eat.

    You should seek professional help from a doctor honestly. In general any diet based solely upon foods themselves is a terrible approach to a healthy nutrition plan. Your body's needs are based on macros, micros, calories, and vitamins and a proper nutriont plan takes this into consideration. You need to eat and train to support your goals, but you also need to keep in mind your body is still developing. Due to your age I do not feel comfortable offering you any more in depth adivse than I already have.     thanks should i stay off junk foods candy ect and eat all natural foods?

    OP please understand that there are different approaches to nutrition, at your age you should not be focused on weight loss, unless you are overly obese and have been directed to do so by a physician. Please read the stickies and learn the basics of nutrition. At your age you should be eating whatever you want allthough avoiding huge amounts of soft drinks and candy, and replacing them with whole foods will help you in the long run and make you feel better. your diet should consist of many different foods, not just chicken shrimp and vegetables, unless that is your personal preferance. Please do not overthink nutrition at this point in your life, eat what you want and train hard.
