After Comp Weight Gain

So i was training for a comp in April my BF was about 14% and dropping and i was on a pretty strict, low carb diet and then something happened (see sad story below) and now i am eating how i use to.. while i was training i was down to 113.5lbs and before training i would stay around 116-117lbs. Now the dilemma: i had to stop training and took about 1 1/2 weeks off and went back to my normal diet. In almost 3 weeks time i weight 119lbs. Which isnt that bad now i am just starting to do only cardio and i can no longer lift so my body is all messed up and confused i think...
how long do you think it will take for my body to go back to being normal i am still relatively the same size but i threw my body into whack.. kinda like hitting a brick wall...

a little sad story about me
Okay well, to all that already know i can not compete this year, I was suppose to compete in April but after a hard fall and a visit to my orthopedist, i am having surgery in my left hand on March 6th. I have severe nerve damage to my Carpal Tunnel Nerve (the median nerve) and also the ulnar nerve. In case your wondering i have no feeling in my hands and because i am stubborn, i will never get the feeling back in my thumb and 1st 2 fingers.

Very crappy huh? i am also having my right hand done in May, so right when i get my left brace off, the right will go on... Fan freakin tastic..... i am so worried and scared...

Talking First Things First!!!

Sounds to me like your going to make it! Knowing that you are a fitness competitor...you know how important it is to take care of your body before almost anything else. Our bodies are our greatest tools. From the sound of things, you need to heal first. Take things in stride!!!! Your weight didn't balloon! You need not fear! Don't go back to eating crappy and you will maintain your weight! Whenever prepping for a competition, carbs have to be cut. Well, no one enjoys the pre-contest diet....with nearly zero carbs....so, of course...after competition has concluded, some weight will come back when you refuel your muscles with much needed glycogen. Don't sweat it as long as you are making healthy smart choices. If your sitting down with a box of oreos, well, then you will get some unhappy weight set-backs. Be careful with the nutrition if your worried, but most importantly...Take care of YOU!!!!!

Much Happiness to You!
