    Haha! They're new to me too. Manju are Japanese confections. Most of the ones I chose have a red bean paste filling.

    The Waffle Spot in Mission Valley San Diego is working with me to create the first ever "Healthy But Hefty Breakfast Challenge"

    1 hour to finish by yourself: ($30 if failed)

    1 granola Belgian waffle w/fruit (plate sized)
    4 stack buttermilk wheatcakes (plate sized)
    3 ham slices (2 oz each)
    5 eggs (over easy)
    1 bowl oats (1 cup dry weight oats) w/ raisins, brown sugar and cinnamon)
    3 slices wheat toast with fruit preserves
    1 tall glass skim milk (16 oz)
    1 large grilled sliced tomato
    2 cups hashbrowns with mushrooms, peppers and onions

    Any condiments can be used but are not required. Any beverage can be consumed along with the milk but is not required.

    I go in to talk to GM Monday morning. The event is to happen between Friday Nov 22 and Dec 3rd before I go back out to sea again for a couple weeks.

    REVIEW: Jeni's Sweet Potato with Torched Marshmallows.
