**** - The Dark Fire
Price - $8.75 CAD
Weight - 80g
A mysteriously flavourful dark chocolate created in our micro chocolate factory by roasting, refining and conching vintage cocoa along with chili, cinnamon, ginger and our secret spices... "abstract chocolate science"
This is my second bar from ****. I'm not quite sure why I picked this one since I'm usually not the biggest fan of 'spicy' bars. I've tried so many, and every time the spice is too powerful that it overwhelms the actual flavor of the cocoa... really takes away from the overall experience of the bar. But I bought it anyways.
Quality of chocolate is exactly the same as it was with the Black Science bar (as expected); the main difference is, the unique flavor of the Black Science bar came from the process of making the chocolate, using the wood fired dryers, whereas the flavor for this bar came from additional ingredients, the blend of spices. Unlike every other spicy bar I've tried, this wasn't too powerful... it was more of a sharp tingle than a spicy burn. If you're looking for a really spicy bar, this might let you down. But if you really want to enjoy the pronounced tastes and aromas of each individual spice that they use, then this is perfect. With 66% cocoa, it's pretty sweet and not nearly as bitter as most other darker flavored 'spicy' bars that I've tried.
Despite falling in love with the Black Science right away, I still found myself continuously going back to this bar instead. Even still, I'd have to rank it just slightly under the Black Science... but I would definitely recommend it for anyone who likes this type of flavoring. 8.5-9/10
**** seems to be the easy #1 for chocolates from Toronto (or even Canada) based on a bunch of blogs/rankings that I've seen. Chocablog, which I believe is one of the bigger chocolate blogs out there (I don't really follow any though), absolutely loves them and continuously boasts about how good their chocolate is.
"...simply go to Toronto’s **** Chocolatemaker and get me pretty much anything. Especially a bar of their Dark Fire."
If anyone is from Toronto, or is passing through, and wants some good chocolate, definitely hit up ****.

No Canadian Thanksgiving pics? CLS?
anyways, stayed at my student house so I had to make my own Thanksgiving dinner pretty proud, made it all by myself
Southwestern roasted Turkey drumstick, buttered brussel sprouts, maple jalapeño sweet potato mash (hnnggg), stuffing
Peanut butter Pumpkin Cheesecake - Used too much pumpkin for the recipe, so it was more of a pumpkin pie, less of a cheesecake than planned
To wash it all down
New "Go-to meal" - 3 eggs, chicken breast, sweet potato, rice, some sort of veggie (brussel sprouts pictured), southwestern seasoned
