China goofed BIG TIME. This is one of MANY cities in China where lot of infrastructure was built, but no one lives there. These buildings below pretty much have absolutely no one living there or in the city.........

Why don't they shift people from the overpopulated areas to these places then? There are some places which are heavily overpopulated..

Why don't they shift people from the overpopulated areas to these places then? There are some places which are heavily overpopulated..

It cost an unbelievable amount of money to build these cities. There's a LOT of them like the picture I posted. They did a special on 60 minutes tonight about the abandon cities, and the apartments in those cities are expensive as ****, so no one is living there right now. I believe it was stated that the average worker in some of those areas makes $2/day and the cost for an apartment there was something like $40,000.

Because many are more expensive than living in Shanghai or Beijing. Also, why would people move there unless a chitload of jobs were in those cities.

idk if this counts but this is a mall being built for the last 10 years in NJ that has been having trouble being funded so plans to open have always been stalled. It should be opening in a year or two though it will be a sick ass mall when it's done. What makes it stand out are the color patterns.

There are lots of ghost towns in China, they could give away the apartments and there would still not be any people who lived there. They build too much.
