I have an iPhone.

I've been using iPhones since the release of the 3G.

The iPhone is practical, easy to use, mainstream and I haven't found a reason to stop buying them...

Since when has this become a war of cell phones? Oh, since Apple stopped completely dominating the market. Where were you Samsung and HTC nut-huggers 3 years ago? But now that the market is competitive, NOW you all have to pick sides.

I'm not even an Apple fan-boy. The company will be nonexistent or bankrupt in within 10 years. Also, I'm writing this on a Windows product and never owned another apple product other than the iPhone and iPod.

when my HTC Sensation was brand new, i had lots of tech-ignorant iPhone users gawk at my phone, because the literally didnt know that other smartphones even existed.

The funny thing is people don't realise that Apple could have incorporated everything they are putting on the 'new' Iphone 5S on the original Iphone 5. They just didn't because they know so many idiots will go out of their way to buy the new 5S as it is 'new'......

Most great "inventors" never really invented anything (Henry Ford, Tesla, Edison, etc). What the great inventors do is take something that already exists - but sucks balls - and they see the potential that lies within it and exploit that thereby completely changing the game.

Apple completely changed the MP3 player game with the iPod, they completely redefined smartphones with the iPhone (look at what other "smart"phones looked like before iPhone - now every phone looks like a copycat of Apple), they made the first real tablet that people wanted to use.

They're also responsible for bringing computers to the mass market before Microsoft copied them. Personal computers used to be run almost command-prompt style and you had to know how to program to use them - Apple created a user interface (desktop icons, mouse clicking, etc) that allowed it to be used by anyone.

Apple's an extremely innovative company - don't kid yourself.


Edit: hell even the theory of evolution existed for hundreds of years before Charles Darwin - his genius was in recognizing the importance of the role that natural selection plays in it and that was the key insight others had missed.

This is the supposed cheap version of the iphone, to bring the iphone to the more affordable market. For you samsung folks out there its like a galaxy young, a cheaper version of the flagship model, with less bells and whistles. Apple is expected to have 2 models released this year.
