Exclamation General bulking questions from a beginner

I'm about 6"2 and very skinny. I do see results quickly from working out even a little, but I get cut rather than actually gain any mass/muscle.

What foods should I mainly eat to gain weight, as well as promote muscle growth?

    What exercises/workouts should I do?

    Thanks.

the best foods are meats, eggs, cheese, nuts/nut butters, oils (olive and coconut), brown/white rice, quinoa (or any whole grain), milk, butter, fruit, veggies, etc.

multiply your body weight by 20 and thats how many calories to shoot for per day, if you dont gain at least one pound every 2 weeks, eat more calories

the best exercises you can do are squats, bench press, and deadlift (also pull ups, shoulder press, rows, dips, etc). you can use stronglifts 5x5 or rippetoes starting strength, or jason blahas 5x5 if you want extra isolation work

be patient! muscle growth is a slow process, dont workout for 8 months and then quit because you dont look like that jacked guy in the gym yet.
