Felt like puking when I saw it. Why do people share that stuff??? I have total sympathy for these refugees, however, its incredibly disturbing. Like 4 people have posted it and 1 person sent it to me in a private message. :/

People are saying its a Kurdish baby too. I have no idea. It's sad that it took a child's death to actually make an impact on the world. If the world were more involved prior, this may never have even occurred.

I've been religious for 4 years then a bad turn of events made me lose faith; but I'm back and it feels better than ever. Nothing other than the love of God can ever fill that void inside of a human - nothing tactile or emotional or material, only the love for God can. Religion empowers like nothing else on this planet; it makes the hopeless hopeful and the weak strong and the insane sane. It's no wonder why they continually try to defame Islam and Muslims - because deep down they know it's the greatest obstacle that they will never conquer in their quest for World domination. It's the greatest blessing a person can be blessed with, because it means that God loves them. Money was never a sign of God's love for a person, but religion is - because religion is the only thing that grant a human acceptance and Paradise, money cannot.

Like Ali ibn abi Talib [as] says: "Endurance is composed of four attributes: eagerness, fear, piety and anticipation (of death). So whoever is eager for Paradise will ignore temptations; whoever fears the fire of Hell will abstain from sins; whoever practises piety will easily bear the difficulties of life and whoever anticipates death will hasten towards good deeds."

To summarize:

1. If her husband is alive you cannot have sex with her
2. She has had to be Muslim or atleast jewish/christian
3. There is a waiting period of one menstrual cycle
4. Only one person can be intimate with her and it has to be known to society around her
5. If she has a contract of release she cannot be taken to have sex
6. Consent is absolutely necessary even if she is a prisoner of war

I dunno if it means sect in the literal terms. I've always taken that hadith to mean a group of people who are most closest to the true path.

I dont even kno why i still pop in here from time to time. every few months i gotta come bak just to check whether its any different.

and I started browsing here when i was like 18 LOL. I got super religious suddenly and my knowledge was pretty much zero. This was the only forum I visited at that time, so i went to check out rp when my interest in islam grew.

i remember debating christians and atheists over trivial stuff. strong everything. WTF? Strong 18 year old past time.

Anyway guys I got a pretty good offer to dedicate my life to Qur'anic studies by a well known western institute. They are doing some pretty amazing stuff and there is a lot of new Quranic scholarship coming to the fore. I'm dropping out of engineering and pursuing my dreams. This offer literally came out of nowhere. Ive always been inclined to books and I used to pray for God to make me a scholar in His cause, but in my mind I was thinking that I would just eventually grow my blog and start a podcast or something, I had no idea that this would come my way coz its completely unjustified. Pray that I contribute a lot to modern Quranic scholarship. Initially i was steering towards hadith studies and critical early islamic history, but reading a few books suggested by a mentor (sort of) has changed my mind and I want to study the book of Allah (s.w.t).
