    Deadlift on what day?

    This is most likely been answered on the forum but I can't find it. My question is what day would you deadlift on a five day split?

    Monday:: chest
    Tuesday:: back
    Wednesday:: legs
    Thursday:: shoulders
    Friday:: arms

    This week I did it after arms when I was done with all my exercises for the week because I couldn't decide what is a more beneficial day to do it. Some people say to do it on leg day after squat and others say on back day.

    With keeping my split the way it is (It seems to be working for me) when should I add deadlifts to get the most from them?

    The majority of people (myself included) do deadlifts on back day.

    Do deadlifts on back day, BUT change your routine so there's a few days in between your leg day and back day.

    The reason I put that split like that is because if you did deadlifts first your squats would suffer.

    Shoulders-arms-chest back to back doesn't sound like a smart idea. There's pretty much zero recovery. No recovery = no growth/improvement.

    If I were you I'd double up the muscle groups and take a break day in between.

    Everyday?

    Maybe not max deads but some variation or related lift like snatch, clean, sldl, bent rows, etc.

    i mix it up over the years but best results were when i had an ENTIRE day for deadlifts. They are that great of an exercise that they can take up an entire day. do a ton of heavy low rep sets and some high rep sets and you should not be able to do any other exercise.

    My current routine is that I do deadlift and squat on the same day. I feel like a walking dead afterwards.
