I train at the university gym. It has superb equipment and right now it's fantastic as the students are on a break. When they're back I have to time my sessions as it gets too busy at certain periods. This has got me thinking of building a home gym.
So where do yo train?

The one good thing about the fitness/exercise world---so many drop-outs there's always great second-hand deals to be found!
Quickdad, do a search on the threads in this and other forums of pics of members' home gyms. I promise you will be tickled and blown away.

I traded some electrical work at the gym for my gym membership this year so I decided to put my fitness bonus (my company provides 1500 for any fitness related items) towards a home gym. Put down 1" thick horse matts, bought cage, bar, 500lbs of weight, curl bar, dip attatchment, lat pull down and row attatchment as well as the really small plates (1/4lb, 1/2lb,3/4lb and 1lb) which are perfect for a 5x5. whole set up cost about 1600. Had a little more than 1900 in my fitness account (can roll over for one year) so I bought myself some new clubs last week with the leftover funds. Still have my membership but Ang and I love working out at home, I have a killer stereo and we can listen to what we want to.

Ironwill, induced drag and tmnonkey (i think it's tmonkey) are three that I've noticed. mines in a small room right now but as it gets bigger I will sacrifice half of my shop to get the gear I want. I have a 40x40 detached shop that could be a great home gym one day if I outgrow my little room

Commercial. I like it there tho. I've trained at home and find that the variety of equipment at a gym is far greater than anything I could have ever had at home. In fact we used to have a power rack, bench with attachments and plates/barbe/db handles but still I'd much prefer lifting at the gym.

Commercial gym, but I have a half rack, adjustable bench, 2 oly bars, pulldown, row, pressdown, curl bar and 650 lbs of free weights in my garage.
When I get a bigger house I will have a proper home gym.Insta: flexjs

Home gym for the last 6 years. I have a [FREE] membership to the local Y which turns out to be pretty darn nice, I just need to find out how they are going to feel about all the profanity on squat and deadlift day.

Commerial, need to feed of the energy of others, helps with the lifting. All the various equipments and occasional spots. The occasional social banter with the other meat heads brings lulz too.
