    Effects of Caloric Surplus starting from low/high BF%?

    Question is in the title. Given that the only difference between 2 individuals is their starting body fat % (Person A is 10%, Person B is 15%), would there be a difference in fat/muscle gains if both were on an effective workout program and a similar caloric surplus?

    I've had this question ever since I've read Lyle McDonald's suggestion and paper on how people should bulk only when they reach 10%~ bodyfat, and should not go over 15%. So yeah, any inputs?

    Unless these people are complete clones then there are too many factors to justify an answer.

    Was kinda expecting this would be the conclusion to my question cause it seems like there are way too many variables to consider, and anecdotal evidence can't do much in proving anything in this case.
