which one is overall better. I found MTS for 50 and optimum for 53.

Both are top notch quality wise, ON always seems to lack in taste and tastes very watered down. If I were you I would give MTS whey a shot, but I can't speak on flavor for that because I have not tried it.

I would say flavor would probably be the biggest difference. Both are very high quality proteins. I would say the difference in terms of compositions of the two is probably fairly negligent.
