im quite worried about my sugar intake, the total calories i take in a day is usually around 1500 cals, and my sugar intake is around 70 - 80g. my cals are very low i know but i have stopped lifting due to a shoulder injury since last year. I also dont do any form of exercises after stopping lifting and want to lose weight so i went with not doing any form of exercises and go low on my calorie intake. Back to the question is can sugar intake alone be a cause to diabetes? are there any research papers that could point to this ?
