Dear bodybuilding lovers,
We are happy to introduce to you a press release of our new documentary 'LESUKOV vs CUTLER' coming up (photos attached):
"Young athlete from a small town wants to get on top of the professional bodybuilding. Having gone through many serious trials he finally gets on the main bodybuilding show - Olympia. Nobody believes he can make it, even in his homeland many people consider his attempt a real gamble. However, he makes this impossible thing and becomes a champion! For the first time Mr. Olympia title goes to Russia!"
What is it? Sounds like a script for a Hollywood movie. You almost guessed! A new documentary ‘Lesukov vs Cutler’ is waiting for the American bodybuilding lovers in August. The exciting story about Russian whiz-kid Alexei Lesukov who decided to set his own rules on the bodybuilding Olympus.
But how is this fiction related to real life? 24-year-old athlete won European and American Arnold Classic for the amateurs and became the most popular bodybuilder in Russia. Will it be enough to make a successful career in pro-division? Today Alexei makes his best to get ready for his first pro season planning to conquer Nordic Pro Championship in Finland and Arnold Classic Europe in Madrid. Next step is Olympia. Young Russian athlete comments on his projects with a smile on his face -‘Why not to replace one of the veterans, Cutler for instance?’
Life certainly can bring its own changes into any script, but why not to try? At least Russian fans are sure that Lesukov will make a small revolution in pro-division and the script won’t have to be changed.

Alexei Lesukov – I am not going to stop!
10 days of shooting, two countries, more than 20 lots – and that is only for the first episode! Film-making of a 6-series documentary project about young and talented bodybuilder Alexei Lesukov has started in Russia. ‘We have visited Alex at home, in the gym, walked together around the city, talked with those who support him and those who don’t just to find out what chances to strengthen his positions in pro-division has this Russian guy’ – tells Aline Petrovic, coordinator of this project.
‘Professional sport is a dangerous work. It will take time to understand whether I am able to achieve some bigger results than my foregoers in professional bodybuilding. But in spite of any difficulties I’m not going to stop’- commented Lesukov. And he is certainly right – a huge amount of difficulties is waiting for him in future. Will this talented guy be able to cope with them? We’ll see! Release of the first episode of the film is intended for the 9th of August.
My question to you, guys: how would you estimate Alex's chances performing in professional division?Last edited by IronRating; 08-06-2013 at 02:15 AM.

That was a quote from Alxei's interview, he was smiling so either that's a joke or he's absolutely serious. Now you can only guess, but very soon you'll find the answer in the film )
About you, guys, laughing or thinking it's impossible, I think a real sportsman has to have real goals, impossible goals -that what should motivate an athlete to reach unbelievable results.

Americans will see the film about Lesukov earlier than Russians!
Going a little bit ahead I would like to answer you questions regarding the title and explain the origin of it At the FIBO tournament Alex met Jay Cutler who wished him good luck and said "See you at Mr. Olympia". Lesukov replied that he still needs to perform at Nordic Pro before that and got an answer 'No, I'm sure we'll meet each other at Olympia".
Soooo..
Our recent news:
Americans will see the film about Lesukov earlier than Russians!
It’s quite possible that American bodybuilding lovers will see the film about Alexei Lesukov earlier than Russian ones! Although the pro-debut of this talented Russian guy is awaited on either side of the ocean.
They say even Jay Cutler is waiting for a meeting with him. ‘He wished me good luck at the tournament and said ‘See you at Mr. Olympia’- tells Alexei to the journalists. Why not? Sound like a finished title for a film - ‘Lesukov vs Cutler’. The release date has been already announced – the 9th of August.
The film will be divided into 6 episodes telling about Alex's preparation, trainings, private life and of course the performances at Nordic Pro and ACE 2013. Series will appear on our Youtube channel from August till the end of October. The good news is that the film is completely IN ENGLISH with Russian subs, so all English speaking bodybuilding society is welcome to watch and comment!

Alex seems to have a good gentetical shape and overall good genetics so if he brings the overall package of mass, proportion and conditioning he could place well at the olympia.
but these days to be the no.1 at the Mr.O you dont only must have the best total package physique wise but having the best sponsor with deep pockets sponsor and the marketability of the athlete does come in to play.
Every Mr.O has put himself out there and has been confident while doing it while dancing to the IFBB tune.

There have been dozens of "bodybuilding documentaries" made in the last few years. Almost every pro has at least one DVD out there. What's going to make this one different than any of the other ones out there?
You can only show a guy training and eating so many times before they become like all the others. Will there be something original with this series?

Are Aleksey and Skoromney friends? I've seen a fair few pictures of them together.
We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.
You can't stop us. You can't hold us back.
IFBB brahs über alles.

Thanks for an interesting question!
Those documentaries are mostly about bodybuilders from the US and I think it would be interesing to get acquainted to life in Russia, so here flangmasterj is right. Moreover, it will show a little bit his private and everyday life.
Another interesting thing is that the episodes will be released during those three months while Alexei will have competitions. It means the script of each following episode can be changed depending not only on the results of the competitions which is obvious, but also depending on your comments and wishes. In other words, after watching the first episode, for instance, you can always leave your opinion and suggestion about what else you would like to see or to know, and we can show it later.
