Tl;drAre you a srs?
If you donīt know the history of the ETA SA factory let me enlighten you; ETA SA has been around since 1793 making smaller pieces for watches and since 1856 in the form that we know it. Through a series of mergers they acquired the Valjoux, Martel etc. company and became the largest maker of Ebauches. And are a qualified Manufacture Dīhorlogerie. While the mechanical movement industry and the whole swiss watch industry had gone to **** because of the quartz crisis Swatch invested massively into ETA and eventually bought it. Which seemed as a really stupid move but them buying ETA saved the watch industry. Swatch decided to keep selling ebauches to their competitors during the crisis so the Swiss Watch industry could keep existing. After the crisis was averted Swatch decided to gradually tone down their production for brands outside of the Swatch group. This was met with fierce resistance from the companies and Swiss governement since that would mean that a) the brands would hae to invest in their own production of ebauches and the R&D that comes with it or b) they would perish. So the swatch group HAD to keep selling them to the competitors from the Swiss governement. So the smaller brands couild keep profiting off the ENORMOUS amounts of money Swatch has invested in ETA without them ever having done any research.
Luckily the swiss governemnt has overruled this and after almost 40 years the ETA company will be able to choose who they sell their movements to.
This would be the equivalent off a baker having the best bread in town and another baker suing them because they donīt want to try to betyter their bread and the court saying the baker will have to sell his bread to the worthless other baker.
Not srs read every word. Very interesante. Muchos gracias seņor.

My Rodina just came in...
I was expecting a bigger face or one that would wear bigger like many people suggested the Rodina does, but im fine with it so far. Other than the cheap leather strap, buckle and springbars which im all changing as we speak, im happy with it.

I can dig the root beer GMT.
I like the hulk sub, but I like it better as a gold hulk, such as the one frequently worn by Mark Wahlberg.

I have the 38.5mm. My well-fitting Ray is 41.5mm, I believe, so I think you'd like the 38.5mm as a piece that leans towards the dressy side. I know I could pull of the the 41.5, but I preferred the classiness of the smaller size.

I 100% did say that, and I stand by it. Though I think the Tudor is as nice as a Planet Ocean, wasn't even really a comparison with the SMPc. The only thing the SMPc has on the BB is the movement, fit and finish of the case, screw down crown, bracelet, clasp, crystal all go to the BB I'd even say the same goes for the PO. I'm not even getting into aesthetic preferences...
But, Tudor doesn't offer a sporty/dressy piece like the aqua terra, which when handling Omegas seemed like one of their nicer pieces. I was thinking about splurging on a cartier tank, but I found a great deal on an AT, and it's not quite as dressy so I'll wear it more often. Two birds...
Omega is a nice brand, I was just a bit disappointed by some of their pieces when I first tried them. Also, the jerk off fest that is watchuseek to Omega gets a bit old.
And yes, to clarify your original post, Omega has inferior quality to Rolex and Tudor both. Doesn't mean I don't like them.
FWIW Jecoma, the only thing you've done to justify Omega is say their aesthetics are better, which is completely subjective. Handle the two side by side and tell me the Tudor isn't a better built, sigh if not equal, watch.Last edited by Busch12; 08-01-2014 at 07:25 AM.
