I'll sell you my Citizen CA0020-56E Chronograph

here's a pic



mine is in near perfect condition, just a couple blemishes on the Bezel. clasp is near perfect, watch works perfectly.

100m WR, titanium w/ sapphire crystal, Eco-Drive movement, lume is fairly bright but there isn't much on the watch...only on the hands, and at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o clock positions

looking for $200 but I'm flexible on that...have all the boxes and papers



In other news...I have fallen in love with the Aqua Terra line of Omegas. Also on the lookout for a new watch...need a whitefaced one. any recommendations? looking in the under $500 range...something simple with little to no clutter, nice lume, either automatic or solar...don't want to deal with batteries. size ranging from 39-43mm, also would like a screw down crown and sapphire crystal but those aren't necessities. at least 100m WR

Both have a seiko 6R15 movement, sapphire crystal and 100m water resistant. Case size is around 40mm for both of them although i think they might be a bit more then 500.

Try this site and see if you like anything. Almost all pieces are good respected quality, that don't cost as much. It is the cheapest u will find anywhere as you're from UK. Can always ask for opinions here if u find something u like

is there a general rule of thumb on how much $$$ someone should spend on a time piece? I don't think I should buy anything over $300. I'm tied between Seiko and Citizen, leaning towards Seiko

No rule of thumb. It depends entirely on how much the person is willing to spend. Respectable timepieces can be found for as low as $50 (Seilko SNKxxx series) and as high as you can imagine. I personally don't see myself ever spending more than 10k on a watch, but my current desires are between $1600-$6000. Of my three current watches, they're costs have been $160, $130, and $144, and they're all very good watches.

Nah, I definitely get it and appreciate you saying that. I am 23, but am making pretty good money (low six-figures a year) and have no debt, no loans, no foreseeable expenses. I could save for a house, but I'd rather rent in the current market. Just want to reward myself for making smart financial decisions early in life by making one bad one

I think your choice is solid, battery will last long, although an automatic watch wont be a problem as well if you plan on wearing it often.

Personally, i love dive watches and didnt look up many watches similar to the one u posted.

Really any watch on the site has a good reputation, although its always good to look up any reviews before making a purchase. Orient, Seiko, Citizen; GOAT budget watch makers. Take into consideration in what occasions you would wear and decide.
